Mortgage removal

I have a natwest mortgage registered on a sipp property.It was repaid in 2015 but never removed.I have proof that it is paid.Have tried the e mail sent to me by natwest to remove the entry at hmlr.They said would be done in 9 working days.It hasn't been.I am tearing my hair out trying to work out what to do.Please help.

Surely the 9 days is for them to do their bit and the LR will run to their own timetable which a quick Google shows is currently 9 weeks

What's the urgency BTW. If it relates to a house sale then there are ways to get updates expidited which @Land_Registry might be able to comment on.

As you say if there's an urgency re an application submitted to us then it can be expedited - Request an expedite - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
However expedition simply gets you to the start line sooner for processing and everything then has to be in order. For example if you have applied then we are very likely to need to contact the lender to confirm removal of the legal charge (mortgage) and they are given time to respond.
