Morning Gers, off for a strong coffee then? :-)Morning allAwake early this morning, !!!!!! cat didn't make an appearance last night for his dinner and I woke up early, probably with that on my mind. Opened the door to let the dogs out for their early morning ablutions and the cat saunters in as though nothing had happened! Phew. Didn't want to be the bearer of bad news when DS and partner came home from their holidays. !!!!!! cat is 13 after all.Today will be tidying, packing and will go home around midday, back to normalityHope everyone has a good day x10

It's weirdly dark outside, each day is so different. The cortisone injection was done and dusted in under 10 minutes and there was some slight immediate relief from the pain. However there's obviously something else going on with the 'new' hip so the physio and I had a long chat about it. I've now done a SARS request for al the imaging and records from the hospital where I had the op. For the moment I'm just happy that I can walk a bit better and without so much pain.Today I will finally go shopping and take away my rubbish.9

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Pleased the cat turned up Chrisca.
Yesterday was quite a nice day, and it's sunny this morning. Maybe it'll be a nice weekend.
I found a real bargain in one of the charity shops yesterday - a pair of brand new leather shoes. M&S, low heel tan leather, £9.99. I don't normally buy shoes from the chazzer, but as I say these are brand new. That was my MSE moment for yesterday!
We finally got round to tidying the front garden, it was just a bit of weeding and sweeping, cut one or two things back, and it looks much better. I noticed that some of the trees opposite our house are starting to change colour, it seems early I thought. It hasn't been much of a summer.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of our sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I know what you mean about the weather, no two days alike. Yesterday would have been lovely if that dratted wind hadn't got up again. This morning, so far, no wind, the sun is forecast and 20 deg promised.. So on paper a lovely day in store!
GERS I hope you soon get some relief from the injection. My DD felt so much better within a few days of hers so fingers crossed for you Just seen COXY's post from last night. She's doing so well. DP1 I hope your little DGD soon gets home, she sounds so fed up of hospitals now.
Other than the usual Friday Tidy (dust and vac all around) I will wait and see what the day brings. Probably nothing exciting as usual. Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

Gers - hope the pain starts to eases
DP1 - fingers crossed for little one being home soon
Coxy - hope the guesthouse wasn’t too bad - well done with the walk so far
The consultant/surgeon was pleased with DDad’s progress so all good - just got to keep going with physio.I managed to forage a bag of pine cones and a box of blackberries from the forest and sort and sand some wood for crafting.Today is coffee at the arboretum followed by vet visit for Bdog. Hopefully this afternoon some painting of said wood pieces!Must admit I feel very tired this week - but at the moment there are no medical appointments for next week which is a nice bonus
Have a good dat

Hi everyone,
We saw my lovely Aunt yesterday - she lives alone but has lots of friends, her only daughter lives in Torquay but she is determined to stay in Lancashire. She was saying that out of her over thirty nieces and nephews she only ever sees me (living 180 miles away) and my oldest cousin. I really can't understand it, most of them live within a half hour drive of her, two of my brothers are only 10 minutes away!
We then had an appointment at an Ikea kitchen planning place but it's made us have a rethink. We might just look at changing the doors, sink and worktop, it's such a small kitchen it will be difficult to replace the cupboards with standard ones. We still don't have any scaffolding up at the front so no work done. It's frustrating because we wanted to go home by Sunday and now it looks like it will be Tuesday. There is the option that I go home by train tomorrow but I'll see.
I don't know what we'll be doing today but the weather looks nice so we'll see, maybe a walk is in order.
Camelot, how is your new grandbaby doing, apologies if I've missed an update.
dp1 fingers crossed little one's blood sugar settles down quickly.
Have a good day.10 -
Thanks Gers, just lost my post, grr.I'll just wish everyone well & not reply individually sorry. Our trip to Manchester ended up with us getting lost on the walk from the station to the pub we were meeting friends
,ended up walking further and being late, but a nice afternoon followed.
Looks like being nice again- 2 days on the trot!Pooch seems ok again after her wobbly start to the day yesterday. Not sure what we're up to today, DH &DS2 are having a day off and DS has DGS so might pop over there, we'll see.Take care all, and Coxy well done!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all from a sunny Mehefinland
After a long chat with DS last night he is keen to get Dawn's ashes collected and home. Its all right for him, he's 2.5hrs away by car so muggins will have to do it. A phone call to the FD later to sort that one out.
It's funny the stuff you find when you are looking for a specific item. Came across loads of old photos of Ds sat in the lounge in our old house with a very attentive Labrador! I sure he was eyeing up the biscuit in the little one's hand. Sambones was a big boy and could easily have taken it, but he was a big softy really. One of the few labs I have known who was truly soft mouthed. He could take something from your hand and you would not feel him do it. Certainly not like a certain Corgi up the road - he's a thug!! Trouble is he loves me to bits, ever since a pup and will make a beeline for me every time he sees me.
Coxy, Was interested in the Jogle walk. Are you doing it all (in stages) or just bits? Remember putting in some hard days walking on the North York Moors when I was a lot younger. Don't think I could now though.
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning everyone
Lovely blue sky and sunshine here...and no wind for once!
Thank you all again for the good wishes for DD and little one...they are both fed up now but DD says she's rather they were there until the feed is properly sorted as she doesn't want to get home and have to take her back again.
My niece has been and dropped DDs little kitten off at the vets to be neutered, hopefully she should be ready to come home when niece finishes work. If not I'll have to get a bus in and taxi back home.
I'm going down to mam and dads this morning as it's banking day then I'll get the bus into town with mam later as dad has a carer for 3 hours on a Friday afternoon. We're going to see a small exhibition of Lowry paintings and then will have a coffee somewhere. It will be nice as we rarely get to do anything together and I'll be back at work next week. I have about 15 Lowry paintings, mostly in my living room, and all painted by my dad and all excellent copies. When he retired he went to art lessons, something he'd always wanted to do, and he was always painting, until he could no longer hold a brush.
Well that was a waffle! I'd better get moving.
Hope everyone has a good day today x9
