Child Maintenance Payments

Is child maintenance payments based only on where they sleep?
Me and the ex wife are currently sharing the family home until she buys me out. We do one week on and one week off sleeping here with them. I go halves on everything that involves the children and I pay for everything for them on my weeks, food etc.
I still pay full maintenance based on the government calculator as me having them 0 nights a week is this correct? (we have 2 children).
I am not contributing to the house bills, so I am guessing this is right? ... should I be paying half the house bills and full child maintenance?

It's generally based on where they stay overnight (but I expect this definition is only to stop the endless arguments by both parents claiming they had the child on the same day, causing a situation where both parents could claim 100% care responsibility for the same child.).
With that said, it's not really relevant to your situation and if you're doing a one week on and one week off arrangement (an equal share of childcare responsibilities) then I'm not clear on why you're paying child maintenance at all.
But I'm not fully on your side, because if you're continuing to live in the house, I'm not clear on why you're not contributing to the bills either. It kind of reads like you're both trying to have your cake and eat it.
