Argos Returns - Duplicate Xmas Presents

Did a search but couldnt find the answer. Do Argos extend the usual 30 day returns period over xmas? My son has two of the same item, bought mine early November and will have the receipt - are they likely to refund or exchange?

I don't know what will happen with a receipt but I returned 2 items without a receipt yesterday and was given a giftcard for the cost. They need to be in the original packaging with the argos item number showing.

My sons birthday was at the end of November & we had the same thing. Two pressies the same, mine from Argos, still had receipt & was bought around September/October. They changed it no problem but they did refuse me a gift gard, I didn't know what I wanted so ended up buying a lot of rubbish.
