MUA deposit

Hello!
A while back, I booked a MUA for my brothers wedding, this was to do 4 people's make up, including the bride.
I paid a deposit of £70, however, I've emailed the MUA a couple of times since and she hasn't replied. I've lost my faith with her, is there anyway I can request the deposit back? I know that a deposit symbolises a contract between both parties, but I feel like she isn't upholding her end of the deal, and I've got a nagging feeling that she won't uphold her end.
I've a friend who's used her before, so she is legit.

Perhaps she is on holiday? August is a popular time, especially with school-age children.

The first time I emailed her, was a few months back. The second was probably August, but I'm nearly certain she doesn't have children.Alderbank said:
