Well done, Stu. Got there in the end
And well done to CAP who succeeded where others failed2 -
spoke to cap, they said they do get informed and will phone us next week for a chat with any q and a next week
my wife and I are still thinking we should have changed jobs nearly 3 yrs ago or dropped our hours and did a dro back then.
if anyone is reading this don't let anyone say you can't go part time and have a dro approved cos you can and we proved you can still get one
there is no rule preventing you doing just that
with careful planning and using Christians against poverty, not CAB or money wellness
weve paid £13000 back , which could have been avoided, but what's done is done, and that's in the past
the stress is now truly off us for a year now

Great news stu, very pleased for you both, now go back to normal, and don`t think about those debts again.

Keep your paperwork safe just in case someone decides to ignore the rule that they shouldn't pursue - rare but it does happen unfortunately. Check if CAP have a system to filing a copy on your behalf as an extra precautionary measure.

That's brilliant news @stu12345_2 , really pleased for you bothWish my family member could use CAP but we are going to try Citizens Advice instead. They've not phoned to book an appointment yet (health issues and need to feel strong enough when tackling anything) but hopefully will in the next couple of weeks. I've told them to try and gather as much info as possible in the meantime.Hopefully onwards and upwards for you now. Don't think of the money you lost before getting the DRO, just think of the money you will save NOW, AND more importantly - the less STRESS you will have, which is priceless1

thanks, the amount of effort, stress and paperwork involved to get to this point over last 2.5 years, was tremendous. but I've learned a lot about debt recovery now and like to share what I've learned.
i have no intention of ever getting credit ever again, it's not worth it, pay cash or go without
your family member will get there with organisation and planning and help from a debt charity imo.
