Hi,
im so worried. Me and my partner just applied for a mortgage and I have been employment since I was 16 and in a permanent job so my P60 was fine but my partners most recent P60 was from a part time job last year and he’s worried that it shows gaps in his employment as he was caring for his mother at the time who sadly passed away early this year.

He is now in a full time job but my question is do mortgage lenders take into account P60s more than more current payslips?

The application will tell them that the employment has changed and they will not therefore expect the P60 to be reflective of the current situation.
I would not be worrying.I am a Mortgage Broker

His employer should be able to issue a letter stating his full time employment and current salary.
