Nationwide unaffordable lending and ombudsman

Hi everyone

My complaint to nationwide has been rejected and I am going to take it to the ombudsman. When I went on to log complaint yesterday it asked for a copy of the agreement. I don't have this, can I request this from Nationwide and how do I do this? The loan no longer shows on my nationwide account. Thanks

Good luck! I had a complaint towards Nationwide, it took over 6 months.  Their service was appalling and they kept giving me conflicting advice.  It took about 15 hours of my time and frustrations.  They didn't pass on documents as they said they would.  In the end the denied responsibility and gave me a £25 'goodwill' payment.  Because of this, both my children have moved their accounts out of Nationwide, they had been with them since birth (as the Portman originally) and left after 23 years.  Nationwide were not interested.

Subject access request. Write to them and request a copy.

Tell FOS you don't have this and then they will get a copy from Nationwide

They were terrible with me too. I pushed my complaint all the way to FOS ombudsman level but Nationwide didn't honour the terms of the decision. I phoned and emailed them loads of times about it but kept getting the bruah off, they said they'd get back to me but nevet did. Eventually after persisting with evety way I could think of to contact them I got contacted by someone who gave me her personal contact details and she sorted it all oit for me.
