Morning all, not sure if this should have gone in the quick question on anything. I have been given some pheasants and some partridges, and wondered if it was possible to use all the carcasses (after I have finished eating the meat) to make a stock or would it be better to keep them seperate.
many thanks

I've not made a mixed game stock, just pheasant but I'm sure it will be fine and that's certainly what I'd do0

I've made a mixed game stock with pheasant and duck carcasses and it was fine - really tasty. I think that grouse and pheasant together would work well too.0

The carcases will make a brilliant soup........
Boil them up in a big pan with water strain and maybe skim off the fat if there is a lot then add whatever you like veggies / noodles/ potatoes etc etc........
Lovely stuff.......could freeze it for later as well0 -
Lentils are really good in a soup made with pheasant stock -the little grey ones are best.0
