    Please stop.

Look at the pictures and advice in the NEWBIES thread fourth post, which includes that exact letter and begs people NOT to post about it (please).

    Hi,
So sorry! I’ve just had a read and I understand it says that I can ignore them but then does that mean they’ll potentially take me to court? I want to avoid that

anyone can take anyone to court, as per coupon mad read the newbies thread and dont panic.

As for that threatening letter, you should put in a complaint as it clearly  states that if you dont pay they will take goods away, in the footer at the bottom of the page. they can not do that.

No - you don't want to avoid a claim form.

That's the stage when the scam ends; no hearing needed, not actually 'going' to court because DCB Legal always discontinue.

Haven't you seen the DCB Legal thread by @Umkomaas ?

    Hi all,

I've recieved the letter of claim from DCB Legal and after reading the newbies thread I understand I am to send them the following email:

    To whom it may concern,

    Your Ref. ############
    Proposed Legal Proceedings
    Claimant: DCB Legal Ltd

I refer to your letter of claim.

I confirm that my address for service for the time being - assuming you don't faff about and delay any claim - is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:
    [Correct address here]

The alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.

I am sourcing and seeking independent debt advice and as such, I formally request that this matter be put on hold for an additional 30 days, in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017 ('the PAP').

I note that the amount being claimed has increased by a hugely exaggerated amount which the Government called "extorting money from motorists".

Don't send me your usual blather about that.
I have two questions, and under the PAP I am entitled to specific answers:

    1. Am I to understand that the additional £70 represents what you dress up as a 'Debt Recovery' fee, and if so, is this nett or inclusive of VAT? If the latter, would you kindly explain why I am being asked to pay the operator’s VAT?

    2. With regard to the principal alleged PCN sum: Is this damages, or will it be pleaded as consideration for parking?

    Yours faithfully

I've tried searching for the email to send this to but I'm struggling to find any confirmation on this.

The two emails I have are:
    clientservices@dcblegal.co.uk
    info@dcblegal.co.uk

Can someone please confirm which one I should send the above to?

Thank you so much for all your help and your great work on this forum. Hoping I can be added to the DCB Legal discontinuances thread by @Umkomaas by the end of this!

    To whom it may concern,

Where did you get that line from? It isn't the NEWBIES thread example.

It’s just how I write my emails when it comes to these types of things haha, started writing that before I copied and pasted the email example from the newbies thread so just decided to keep my text.

I can change it back to “Dear Sirs”

    Definitely!

Never use 'to whom it may concern' and certainly not to a firm of solicitors.
