That way people can read up about MPANs as well as everything else.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -

(Leaving fit generation payments in place, subject to no changes to the fit system or changes that are likely to be approved and pro-rated payments etc etc).
It's likely that more money could be earned that way. Obviously do your own calculations, but there are better tariffs when you have SEG and potentially exporting more too (unless the plan is to use and store as near to 100% of the solar as possible).I think that is a good response and I agree possibly the best move.My earlier post really just thrown out there to input another idea!Reed you are right that a separate system technically could be switched , it is just a similar situation to a switched backup system but with different ( or manual ) control logic.I would disagree that it would be a money wasting excercise. That really depends upon the export quantity. If exporting everything ( or a significant amount) then why not get paid for it and not waste that opportunity. It could then be MWE as you say. However if you hardly export anything ( the holy grail if on FIT that many of us have aspired to ) I.e. use virtually all solar generation oneself from the additional system the then nothing is lost. That is except for the one off switching cost that really would be essential for when the sun generates insufficient and the batts are empty. It would need good calculation and predictions of own consumption s generation taking seasonality into account. Most users would not use all the generation from the size the OP is hoping for.Still a separate system with SEG for the whole is much easier, less complex and, if instead, just combined with the best import export tarrifs with battery time shifting etc., very attractive both financially and green.I think you, Reed and Pete, are very much on the right track for the OP.
