Porting mortgage with current lender with repo

Hello,
Currently on a fixed term joint mortgage with Barclays - my husband had a sole mortgage on a property that was repossessed in Jan 2020 as detailed on credit report. We are looking to move property and have found a mortgage broker that has been able to get us a mortgage with a specialised lender. My question is, would Barclays look at our mortgage and allow us to port and get additional lending based on the above circumstances? We have not missed a payment on Barclays mortgage for the entire lending period which is 7 years.
Thank you!

You can ask them, but I believe Barclays will not accept previously repossessed applicants.I am a Mortgage Broker

If you’re looking at a specialised lender for the new property, you wouldn’t be able to port from Barclays to a new lender on the new property, unless I’ve misunderstood what your question0
