Hi there,
Hoping someone can set my mind at rest over the weekend.

So I have 2 months mortgage arrears (just paid off 1 month was 3) and have agreed a payment plan for three months.. Sept, Oct, Nov and then another chat.. im happy with that and feel I can meet the payments. They’ve told me the next stage would a final notice, but I can make the agreed payments, so was feeling ok..
Ive just received the post (late Friday) and can see that they set up my plan wrong (contrary to what we agreed on the phone) and that they have written Aug Sept Oct for the 3 month plan! The August payment is this Sunday and they are closed all weekend so cannot call
until Monday when technically ‘the wrong plan’ will be broken. I’m at my wits end and don’t know what to do.
this is absolutely incorrect and their error but I worry that the computer system will just start whirring Monday Morning and they won’t be able to reset up with payment plan (as they told me this one couldn’t be broken).
it’s such a mess up as I paid Augusts usual payment this Monday just gone , then they organised for the plan to start in Sept, and they’ve started the plan from August on the letter by mistake!!.
I know it’s their mistake and obvs will all be recorded, but can they correct their own mistake, it if they’ve told me this payment plan can’t be broken??

You will not be getting a Final Notice if you have arranged a payment plan and keep to it.
Just contact them on Monday to clarify your agreement was to pay S/O/N.

Thank you. I will call Monday and let them know. I was just worried that the computer system may start something they themselves cannot stop on Monday as I’ve missed the incorrect plan they set up.

I'm surprised you've received a letter on Friday with (presumably) a direct debit to be collected on Sunday. Minimum notification of a direct debit being collected is 10 days. Perhaps the date was typed wrong. You'd expect a direct debit to be collected on the 1st September.0

Hi.. I pay manually through the online portal. But yes, I made August payment on 12th and they set up the ‘next’ payment on the plan for the 18th. The 18th is my usual payment date. They allow you to pay early, so the 12th was Augusts payment… (my payment plan amount is more than my contractual payment so they haven’t got confused with that.) they have literally started it a month early on the paperwork.0
