Unknown debt payment demand

Today had a notice of intention to take control of your goods letter from CDER group. It states "despite previous attempts to contact you for payment" but no communication of any sort from them prior to this. No idea what this is about, I've lived here over a year. It doesn't give any indication what organisation the original debt is supposed to come from.

Few more details would help, that letter comes with the standard script designed to give you just that reaction and ring them to find out what its all about.
Any CCJ`s on your credit file?
CDER Group collect unpaid council tax, parking fines, and debts from over paid benefits etc, any of that ring any bells??I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi nothing rings any bells, and anything sent to previous address would have been forwarded by relative. No CCJ's. Bit of a shock being asked for 4 figure sum out of the blue - do they just lump a load of their large fees on before any chasing up of supposed debtor takes place ???0

Is this actually addressed to you by name?
And yet does not say what the alleged debt is?
I think you're going to have to ask them
How about unpaid ULEZ charge or Dart Tunnel or similar?1 -
Has correct name shown, no not been to London / Dartford in a vehicle. The notice has 3 sections at the top which are Magistrates liability order, HMCTS Imposition and Penalty charge notice warrant with tick boxes - none of which are filled in. Appears to have been hand delivered which seems odd for 1st communication from them ?

Hmmm. One of those boxes should have been ticked. And there should have been stages before this one - which appears to be the £235 enforcement stage.
Very odd1 -
Penalty charge sounds like a parking fine or controlled zone, possibly a cloned vehicle? You need a bit more info from them really, do they quote a registration number?Baby Step 6/7 . £16000 saved and invested. £47,000 deposit paid on new home DEBT FREE !!!

Their website says not to ignore their correspondence if it’s definitely your name and their letter is not clear what it relates to can you not just ring them or email them referring to previous correspondence tell them you haven’t received anything.1

JFYI OP, It appears they may be acting as bailiffs in this instance, if anyone turns up at your home claiming to represent this company, remember, they have to be either invited in, or they can enter through an unlocked door, it is imperative to remain in control of such situations, and keep them outside, especially when you don`t know all the facts of this case.
Any reference numbers at all you can quote to identify the case?
As I would be tempted to investigate this further, maybe best, and quickest by phone.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
