Luxpower inverter oddity

I have a luxpower  invertor which has a mind of its own switching load between batteries, grid input, and grid out put. I am on an Octopus agile in and fixed outgoing. Once, a year or so ago, the installer changed the luxpower firmware 'to work better' with Octopus.
My question is, do I need to get the firmware updated each time I or the supplier change tariffs? At the moment it seems that there is no automated way of updating the rules if they need it.

I've had my firmware updates I think twice in 4 years.

My feeling is generally if it's working, don't change it.

It could be if you are integrated with agile,  that the inverter is responding to that?

The app only updates about every 5 mins, so don't necessarily trust it, definitely check the inverter itself
