Can anybody help clarify these questions for CGT calculations and base cost for employee profit share allocations:
- what is the correct base cost to us for shares allocated 'free' - no payment made - is it 'Nil' or is it the 'initial market value' notified for the date of appropriation? (Can't find any confirmation of this in CGT summary notes on GOV.UK)
- should disposals of shares allocated in a profit share scheme be pooled with shares bought though SAYE employee share options scheme? Or do they require separate CGT calculations? I'd assumed pooled as S104 holding.
