As well as using coupons you can get cash back sometimes leading to free items or a free shop.
You can sometimes use multiple of the below all at the same time to 'stack' cash back.

    1, 2 and 3 usually work together for some and 1, 2 and 4.

    1) You can buy certain items, scan your receipt and get some money back for that specific item OR even the whole amount back for free items using the following apps:
Shopmium app (if you use someone's referral you'll get a free food/drink item)
    Green Jinn app
    and Checkout Smart

    2) You can use Cash back sites like Topcashback, Quidco, Swagbucks, Easyfundraising (but the money goes to charity on this site) and more. You can only usually use one of these at once and have to click the link to track it through but check which sites have the highest cash back for that store that day and use that one!

    3) If you buy your food at supermarkets then you can buy a gift card first and get cash back on that.
I love using Jam Doughnut for cash back on gift cards (they used to have Amazon and Aldi on them too but sadly Amazon have stopped cash back rewards last month) They have a free draw at 1pm on weekdays as well where they select multiple winners from those that have the live draw open for that 30 minutes. You can win up to £100 voucher from just having the live draw open. Sadly we aren't allowed to share referral codes here but the person that refers you also gets some money if you have a friend/use someone else's sign up code. If you like it then you can refer your friends!

    4) Some credit cards or bank accounts will give you automatic cash back on your shops, you don't have to do anything just use the card to pay.

    Good Luck!!
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

Iceland have offers of 3 for £10 often on cheese/fish/prawns.
Usually once a week we have an omelette dinner - add what you have, such as onion/veg/cheese. Honestly filling and cheap. Also soup is a really filling meal, chuck in lentils/pearly barley or whatever; serve with a roll or garlic bread. We also have wraps - doesnt take much to fill and they are very filling.
I think its about also adjusting expectations of what a 'dinner should be. I make home made egg fried rice and it is so easy and cheap; cook more and freeze so you have a quick microwave rice packet.

I generally buy fruit and veg from the market - better quality and cheaper, and at the end of the day you can get soft fruit really cheap. I chop and freeze for breakfasts. I use the local butcher, and maybe not 'cheap' but chicken breasts are huge and I can make one serve 2. I but a slipper of gammon for £11 So much meat. I chop and make stews with beans etc. Do you have a slo cooker? Honestly the best thing for cooking a delicious meal from odds and ends.

    Good luck!

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
