After only 3 weeks here I am taking responsibility for my money and have made some drastic changes. Got my phone and broadband halved, stopped gym membership and am working out in the open air, started shopping in a less food waste shop and am saving £20 per week on food, stopped the window cleaner for a bit and ended unnecessary subscriptions. In total I’m saving about £88 per month. Sold some old phones and got £107. I have taken on some extra hours at work and for the first time this year should have some money left at the end of the month and I won’t need my overdraft. I did have to use my CC for a train fare but it was for a job interview so think that is a justified expense and have not used the cards for anything else. I can pay more off them this month too. Putting weekly spending money on my Starling card to stick to a budget and have done 5 NSDs this month. Feeling proud and grateful to MSE and to you all for ideas and suggestions.

I had to travel to London this week but took sandwiches and a flask of coffee. I walked everywhere so no tube fares. Probably saved me £20 🙂1
