Question to finish, Is there anything I need to do, eg inform HMRC and Aviva etc ?? I wont be drawing down anytime soon.
You should not need to inform either. However HMRC are prone to mistakes with tax codes ( in my experience) when roles/income streams change, so keep an eye on your personal tax account, just in case.
Good point about TFLS, although I took £30K last year for a full blown grandkids and all holiday (in case the treatment didn't go so well), there is still about £45 I could take. Certainly worth thinking about as without getting political, I don't trust this clown at all.
It was not a good point, as the rumours are based purely on scaremongering in certain parts of the media. There might well be some pension changes on the way, but removing the 25% tax free is probably the most unlikeliest.
So as the above post says do not make decisions based on what might be, as it is more likely to be the wrong rather than the right decision.
Hopefully you have some good luck on the nags, to supplement your retirement income. It only seems to reduce mine !4 -
