Morning all,
I hope everyone had fab weekends - mine was great from a general perspective but not so great money wise lol. I ended up spending way more in Eastbourne than I thought I would (mainly silly purchases) so this week will be tight but I get paid next Wednesday so not that much longer to go.
I am only out once this week (seeing my best mate for dinner before she goes away for three weeks) but I know that will be cheap. The bank hols this weekend will be spent cleaning and de-cluttering (a yearly tradition of mine that stems from my mother make us clean/ de-clutter before school starts). I had to withdraw £200 from my emergency savings to tide me over until pay day but I guess that's what it is for.
Next month is also looking expensive as I have a wedding, a holiday, and 2 birthdays so my budget will be tight but I am hoping that I can keep up my good work as I think things will calm down after that.0 -
Morning all,
The past few days have been an absolute whirlwind!
On Tuesday my phone decided to just stop working - which would have been fine but I was in central London and didn't have my purse so I couldn't really get anywhere. Thankfully was able to get the bf to send money to my best friend who I was meeting up with anyway but was horribly stressful.
I had to enter into a new contract with 02 as I owned my handset outright but will hopefully be able to trade it in for money off but a new phone has been secured! Will update my SOA with the update ASAP.
Only just managed to re-set up all my mobile banking apps which is fine but slightly more stress than needed on a Tuesday afternoon but we are back on track!
I went out for breakfast this am with a more junior colleague and paid but it was only £8.99 which is fine. I am also out for lunch today but we are going to Itsu which i think will cost me around £12.
Can't wait for the bank holiday and a ret!

Okay - its been nearly two months LOL.
I've actually been living within my means and saving and paying of my CC every month which is good and I am hoping to keep up with this diary as a way to track my spending as opposed to anything else. So from now on I will be hoping to check in daily with an update of what I spend each day.
Yesterday I was WFH so I didn't really spend anything on my personal card. The OH went out unexpectedly last night to see a mate so I had a lovely evening watching youtube taking a long shower and reading in bed.
I went to a 7am yoga class at my gym and I am now in the office. I did buy a coffee before yoga which cost 4.19 - absolute madness as it was from Leon and you can get a coffee and a muffin for 4.99. I've packed breakfast and lunch today so I shouldn't spend anything on food today. I may have to swing by boots on my lunch break to pick up iron tables, a collagen mask and some probiotics but I will see what kind of deals they have.
I have 495 to get me through the next week which needs to cover travel from work, two bills (wifi - 39.92 and council tax -166), and other ad hoc bits. All my food payments come out of my joint account with the OH so so I should end the month with some more money to put in savings. Its my birthday on Saturday so hoping to get some cash in hand to cover some other bits and bobs.

Reading that back - I have 495 to get me through until the 28th, everyone elses payday seems to be the last friday of the month but annoyingly mines the 28!0

Good morning everyone!
I spent a bit of money yesterday on my lunch break - 12 in boots and 37 in h&b. I also spent 32 on my main card but I will be getting that back hopefully soon.
This morning I spent 4 on coffee but I have lunch and breakfast in the office already. I also spent 7 on a vape this morning v naughty.
I put together a spending tracker of everything I spent this month and I've been categorising each spend. There are a couple of subscriptions that I forgot come off my monzo (which is my spending card) so going to adjust that for next months budget.
Hope everyone has a faby day xxx1 -
Morning all -
Yesterdays full spending breakdown is as follows:16-Oct 4 Coffee 16-Oct 8 Vape 16-Oct 9 TFL 16-Oct 2 Vending machine
Thus far today we have:17-Oct 9 TFL 17-Oct 3 Coffee
Buttttt there is literally no need to spend any more money today as I have lunch and there are snacks in the office.
Its my birthday soon which will be nice and I hoping that any cash i may receive can go towards some treats this weekend but any bank transfers might get thrown in my savings. My mum is very big on birthdays and is a very generous person so I usually ask her for replacement things e.g. airpods.
The other reason I am trying to track my spending is now is the OH proposed a month ago so we are now wedding planning so I have updated the title of this diary. While both are parents are paying for the majority of the wedding thankfully we are trying to cashflow as much as we can - WHICH MEANS i need to get my savings up ASAP so I am not relying on my very sensible OH and keep having to pay him back.0 -
