PRA Group CCA Request

Both my grown up children have the same initials and surname as me, and for quite a lot of time lived at the same address as me. No way would a legal agreement with initials be acceptable.jamiegutz said:
Thanks for the info. Ive gone back to them saying that they would have had my full name at the time of application and would not have accepted it based on initials alone. They therefore should have used these full details on my CCA.DjangoUnchained said:when i requested the CCA fro PRA they sent me a big bundle of papers. I dont know whether they were compliant or not but i called their bluff. I simply said they wernt compliant and didnt meet what i was asking them for ( i was simply playing for time). I was very supplied when a few weeks later i recieved a letter saying they were waiting for the details from barclaycard and until then the account was deemed unenforceable. They never did get anything else and the account is now statute barred. So always worth querying anything you get as i dont believe many of them know what they are talking about.
Also told them that they are welcome to take me to court and I look forward to receiving their letter before action to my overseas address that I informed them of yesterday.
Lets see what happens."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I understand that part of the agreement PRA have with barclaycard is that they cannot ask b/card for the agreement or further paperwork once they have bought the debt. They wont tell you that, they will just tell you they are waiting for it and continue to badger you hoping you will just pay up.0

Quite amusingly when they replied to my CCA request they enclosed a copy of a letter from Barclaycard to them saying they couldn't supply it. It didn't stop them phoning me every two days for a year though, but they seem yo have got bored eith trying now.DjangoUnchained said:I understand that part of the agreement PRA have with barclaycard is that they cannot ask b/card for the agreement or further paperwork once they have bought the debt. This is similar to what they are doing with mine at the moment. They emailed me to say it had been sent to me. I replied to say hadn't received it (I didn't want it to end up that they had sent, I had ignored, and it was taken further). Now that I am aware of this, I will ignore.DjangoUnchained said:I understand that part of the agreement PRA have with barclaycard is that they cannot ask b/card for the agreement or further paperwork once they have bought the debt. Their plan so far seems to be tell me it is being/has been sent and then offer me a discount or start chasing me again. Then put my account on hold again. If it is correct that they can't get the agreement, then I assume this will just continue to try and get me to pay something without supplying the agreement.0 -
a creditor that is on the ball will send the cca by not only recorded delivery but special delivery, Tesco finance did mines that fast and by special delivery , so they got my signature to prove I had received it
email don't count, cos things go into junk unread that delete so many days later and hence no proof .
here's s news article to show what happens if you wrongly keep paying when no cca was ever produced and the creditor kept misleading you into thinking you must pay up

They got back to me pretty much within 30 days with a reconstituted agreement. It was very much a template agreement with just my name, address being the only item unique about it. The rest was just standard blurb. They probably do this now for alot of CCA requests.stu12345_2 said:

This is so easy NEVER PAY PRA ANYTHING. The chance of them getting a CCA is 0.00001 %. They are easy to deal with, just ignore them, block their calls, tell them to F off if they get to you. there is nothing they can do. The chances of them taking court action is minimal. If by any chance they did you can fight it and settle for minimal payments, but best is to ignore them. they will just chase people who they think they have more chance with.0
