    Thats sounds best, i just put stuff in on a low heat and keep checking you will know yourself when its ready, there are no hard fast rules on reheating, just cook it until its cooked all the way through.

    i did look through a few web sites that suggested a hot oven is 300degress but surly that would burn the outside and leave the inside cold, or it would burn the whole thingconfused-smiley-013.gif .

    Must have been American websites. They quote oven temps in fahrenheit, whereas, unless your cooker is really really ancient, ours will be in centigrade!

    I would call a hot oven anything from 180 upwards. Mine only goes to a maximum of 250, and I only ever have it up that high for a final blast on roast potatoes. The maximum I usually use is 220, and more often 180 or 200 even if the food is being cooked from frozen.

    Thanks it was an american site but 180-200 thats what i'll try.:beer:
    Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
    And things go wrong no matter what I do.
    Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
    But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Crucially, label stuff with indelible pens/proper labels with details of what it is, when you made it, and any important cooking information - nothing worse than defrosting what you thought was cottage pie and finding it's apple crumble!
    I agree with everything that liz has written, but I would just like to re-emphasize this particular point! I have done this far too many times :o But still I forget and have to try and work out what the object is (e.g. a chicken breast or on the bone). It's quite difficult when it's frozen :D

    As long as you remember these two very basics:
    • cool and freeze as quickly as possible after cooking.
    • you can freeze something that has previously been frozen (in it's pre-cooked state) providing that it has only been cooked once.

    I think i'm just afraid of the reheating incase i poision everyone, i did look through a few web sites that suggested a hot oven is 300degress but surly that would burn the outside and leave the inside cold, or it would burn the whole thingconfused-smiley-013.gif .

    Tyhanks everyone for the advicebeerchug.gif

    300F = 150C = Gas Mark 2, so a really cool oven

    240°C/475°F/gas mark 9 is as hot as most ovens go, so I don't think that the site that you saw can have meant 300C
