I don't understand why there isn't legislation to prevent the sale of cheap hot tubs that have useless insulation and just waste electricity. They are even being sold in supermarkets and either use huge amounts of energy or get thrown away when the owner realises how much they cost to run.(Not a criticism of the OP as I have no idea about their circumstances.)

For anyone with a hot tub: what mattered for me was having a small battery and a diverter. I had a 4.8 kWp system with 5 kWh of storage installed with Solar Path; I run the heating when there’s generation or during off-peak price windows, and in the evening I draw from the battery. It reduced the consumption peak right in the expensive hours.0
