which brings up two boxes one your title to edit and the other the words in your post to edit

or you can just click the circle with the dots from looking at the post on this thread.

 I think you are trying to edit it from the list of posts in the whole forum where you picked yours and then clicked the circle with dots

the white circle with dots next to a flag allows edit. but if you look at your actual text you wrote you see a whit circle only with dots, click that you can edit or delete
