Euro Star compensation

Hi we recently had a really bad experience with the euro star
Our outbound journey we was told that our cabin's aircon was not working. The desk person said not too worry it will not be too hot and free water will be handed out and you will also get 1/4 of your ticket refunded.
So we went ahead and still travelled, the journey was bad no free water and we had a delay on track for 1 hour and no one came round to see if we needed anything etc
As we were also delayed for 1 hour we missed our connecting train and we had to be out our hotel for a certain time so we got a 35 euro taxi to the hotel instead as it would get us there on time after the delay.
I have connected euro start I first rang them and he refunded myself for the delay the % you get as per the time.
But the aircon he said yes it is a voucher of 25% of your booking! I explained that this was never explained etc and about the free water that was never given etc. The person on the phone explained that I should email everything. they said for the taxi I have to go to my travel insurance and they don't really care about the aircon situation
Any advice from anyone?
Thanks

Was the second train purchased on the same ticket? Or was it a separate booking?
Was the 1 delay more like 59 minutes or 61 minutes?
1. The 25% refund was personal arrangement - so email them about that and fingers crossed.
2. Here is some delay compensation info about Eurostar, it starts with delays over 60 minutes:
https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel-info/service-information/claiming-compensation#Train-delayed
If the next train was a separate booking then - that's more of an issue with your travel insurance, as well as taxi, but if the total cost being quite low I'm not sure it's worth trying..0
