Good morning, it's fine here, but does seem to have rained overnight.
Mehefin, glad that ds is with you, I'm sure it's a comfort to you.
Not a lot planned for today, I might pop back later.
Thinking of Mehefin and others who are poorly, or struggling with life.
Take care folks

Morning all. Thanks for starting us off @Scarlet - a little bit before @mehefin. I'm so pleased that you are more settled in your mind about the arrangements for Dawn. It all sounds so sensible and fitting. I didn't choose to view either of my parents when they died and don't regret the decision, your son will probably need to see his Mum. I hope it all goes well. 💕
After the rotten day yesterday today may bring sunshine. Certainly, it's lovely at the moment. Today is exams results day in Scotland, the tension must be already rising.Hugs to all our poorlies and those having sad times.11 -
Morning all.

Morning all
Its a bit overcast and chilly here this morning I have had to put a hoodie thing over my pyjamas we are due some rain but it’s meant to clear mid morning.
Two people coming today one is still poorly and we are hoping to go to a local sunflower maze we went last year and it’s a lovely way to spend a few hours - hopefully the weather will be on our side.
Got some chicken breasts out for dinner later I’m not sure what I will do with them yet but I will come up with something. House is tidy will probably just need to run the hoover over.
Mehefin I’m glad you are getting things sorted it will be a weight off your mind xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning...It's damp and drizzly, and I quite like it
Funeral yesterday was quite emotional, for both of us, although I didn't know her, OH did, she was like a second mum to him, and it just brought back memories of my parents, so we were both exhausted by the time we got back. I fell asleep then had to make pasties for today as I have a long drive to Salisbury this morning to get the car mot'd. We did have a long chat about the finer details of what we each want on the way back, so OH is going to be trebuchet'd [no idea how to spell that one] into the sea somehow and I'll be burned and scattered in as many skips as he can find. Hawaiian shirts, bermuda shorts and colourful clothing is on both of our lists. There's some skirt left so I may make a goulash for supper or something.
Mehefin, glad you've got your ducks rowed up, hope the viewing wasn't too bad. I'm sure the process of sorting funerals is designed so you don't have time to think too much, you're just concentrating on the next thing and then the next thing. Gers, exam results already? Is time flying without me? Allie, naps are very importantFlorence, how are you finding vinted? I admit I've been buying but haven't sold yet. TA, happy haircut day. Izzy, I did laugh at your sunday dinner crack, my sister is coming up this weekend and I've told her I can make her a beef one...am I regretting it yet?
camelot, just sow a green manure and dig it in over the spring..much easier...Must go, builders are here, take care all!

Morning All
After 48 hours of constant rain the sun is shining! I'll get some washing together and hang it out before the weather changes it's mind.
Sounds like you have a plan Mehefin, look after yourself.
Thanks for the update dp1, hope the little one bounces back soon.
Enjoy the sunflower maze Ruby, sounds like fun.
Well done on the Vinted selling Florence, DD has sold quite a lot on there.
After a tip run yesterday with the old cupboard unit from the laundry I called at the paint place and got the colour I wanted for the kitchen so that's ready for when the decorator can come, he's putting up coving too so will probably be a couple of days work.
Went to Costco with friend and her DD for laundry liquid and softener and bought a couple of gifts for Christmas, a bit early but if I leave it they will be gone. Had lunch there too - a huge baked potato with tuna and cheese - delicious!
I'll do some digging today as the weather is fine and then off to meet friends for lunch.
Enjoy the day, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET and MEHEFIN for both your starts. I was on here earlier and didn't know which to post on! I thought I'd come back to see which to post on! I am watching Olympic surfing from Tahiti. What, where!!
Yesterday turned out better than forecast. Warm, verging on hot, and intermittent sunshine. Today similar. I watered all the pots at the back and fully expected it to rain afterwards, meaning I had wasted my time, but it didn't! After my week away they were all dried up.
Today I have the hairdresser coming about lunchtime and I'm hoping she isn't in scissor happy mode. I don't want scalping! It's youngest DGD's birthday today - 14 but she is still a tiny dot and would easily pass for 11 or 12! She had a Murder Mystery party at the w/e with her friends then tonight we are all off for a family meal out.
Have a good day folks if you can. Dp1 thank you for your update on little one, I really hope there is better news for you all soon and she then bounces back to her sunny self. MEHEFIN I'm so pleased you are getting organised as regards the funeral and hope the viewing isn't too upsetting for you. ((HUGS)) for our other poorlies or just fed up. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
