Hours per week - Decision in Principle

Hi everyone,

I spoke to a mortgage advisor and told them I work 48 hours / week and set up a Decision in Principle

The thing is, I do regularly work 48 hours per week, but I am only on a 36 hour per week contract. Is that something that could cause problems down the road? Would it be worth me switching to a 48 hour per week contract now?

They do not really work off how many hours a week you work, they work off your annual pay.
Your guaranteed wage will be based on the 36 hours.
The rest is classed as overtime, some lenders will average out how much OT you have done in the last 3-6 months and multiply it up over 12 months.

If you want (or need) the full amount, then you probably do need to change your contract. If you do not need the full 48 hours income then you might not need to.
