So a big mortgage is risky for everyone whether in debt or not. I however am in the my house is now cheaper to mortgage than rent so although it's high risk I get your thinking.
So, If for example you used to pay 200 a month on your dmp and you can now afford only 50 you just write/ring email them to say guess what I can only afford 50 so that's all your getting. It will demotivate you as your debt free date will take longer but hey ho needs must, I hate to sound uncaring but once your mindset changes to "you are not my priority so you'll get it when im ready" your sleep will be better, your anxiety will reduce. On a side note if you are really stretching it to afford 50 for example you should perhaps only pay 35 or 40 till you've finetuned your budget.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
