Has anyone taken dressmaking course in the past and if so, do you feel you gained enough practical knowledge to make your own dresses?
Im about to enrol on a dress making course for Feb next year. Its a 16 week (total of 32hrs) course(costs about £102) and I dont expect to come out of it an expert but I would like to be able to confidently use a sewing machine to make a simple evening dress using patterns that I have designed and cut myself.
I will also be getting a sewing machine from my parent to use at home, so im hoping the course will provide me with a base to build upon once its completed using free books from local library.
