Book recommendations on budgeting?

I feel utter despair at my financial situation. I am 45 and still seem unable to budget. I used to "binge spend" to comfort myself although that's got a lot better (I paid off £17k of debt!) I still seem incapable of managing my finances. I paid myself a salary a week ago and by the time everything goes out I'll be £200 overdrawn. It feels like only when I am worried about money, am I comfortable.
If anyone has any book recommendations on how to change your relationship with money I would appreciate it. I have got much better than I used to be but I am just lost as to how I am so utterly awful with this.
I am a home-owner and my mortgage went up £200 a year ago which has made life tricky but other people have it far worse. It's like there is a block in my head which doesn't UNDERSTAND. I am not unintelligent and am so embarrassed by this inability to process money. Thank you.
