Warhammer/Games Workshop stuff - Cheapest around?

I had a mail a few days ago regarding https://www.maelstromgames.co.uk - they sell warhammer/games workshop stuff. They've just launched a proper store, i've brought lots off the bloke before on ebay, so I know he's a good seller.

They're offering 15% off most stuff if you build your own deals and free p&p.

Thought someone here might be interested.

Whilst I'm here - I was one of the people who brought loads of those remote control hoovers and tried to sell them on ebay... they are actually quite good (i kept 2 myself), but I made nothing on them at all :mad: ... but everyone forgot to mention that B&Q do free, no-quibble returns for 30 days - so i took them all back... :rotfl:

Also bagged one of those tablet DVD players - I'd recommend those too!

Another good place to get cheap warhammer/40k is http://www.miniaturesbypost.com

It's got a large range and the prices are really good, especially if you are ordering a lot at once.

i have been using www.waylandgames.co.uk and they seem really cheap.

I have found Gifts For Geeks they are really cheap and deliver quickly. They also have a retail store.

I could only wish that this was true in our case.

My OH and I are heavily into Warhammer and have just started Warmachine and Hoardes.

They have mucked my OH around profusely and the order took weeks to come. His first complaint wasn't answered and it was only when he sent a second one that someone finally got back to him (we're talking a week between complaints).

His order was then shipped quickly within a couple of days. Coincidence? Who knows! Then they gave him a coupon for 15% off which doesn't even work.

I think we'll be sticking to Wayland Games as we've never had problems with them and this isn't the first time we've had issues with Gifts for Geeks.

For Warmachine the place which has always got my order out fast is Wargames Workshop, they also do lots of other bits including Games Workshop stuff like Warhammer, worth a look maybe.

I will admit we had a two week hiccup with Privater Press products while our supplier moved premises. We are now able to offer the whole range again.

Im the opposite. Ive used both Wayland and Gift for Geeks and found Waylands delivery to be significantly longer than Gift for geeks. Guess its all about what you order and when.

Both offer 20% discount so are well worth looking at. Also id now recommend Darksphere especially if you can get to their premises in london (near waterloo) 20% in shop and 25% online.

Caveat to these guys though : for those not ordering a lot (£100+) and taking out the super fast courier service, the postage is a little more than G4Gs resulting in a slightly higher price (in one instance i price comparisoned both and G4Gs won by 60p even though they have a smaller discount).

Where Dark sphere win now though is their newest offer : order £100+ on website for shop pickup and get it at the 25% discount. Great for us who run wargames clubs and have a lot of 40K/WFB players.

Does anyone know of any problems with wayland games. I placed an order for my son a week ago, paid extra for first class delivery, all items were and are still in stock but have not been despatched. I've tried contacting them via their ticketing system a few days ago but not had a reply.
