Hi all, I've come here as trying to get hold of professionals to get advice is so time consuming and end up going in circles without clear advice.
So I'm hoping that someone has been in my position and can provide some clarity.
I'm in the final stage of divorce and we have settled on my ex having the house. As part of the financial agreement, I've agreed to pay the small amount of mortgage off in 2 years time when my pension is available. I've checked with mortgage company and can do that with no fee.
However, I'm trying to find out how to go about having the deeds changed once it's paid off and to remove my name from it so that she is the sole owner of the house?
Do I need a solicitor?
Does it costs a lot?
Can I do it myself?
Who do I contact?
What's involved?
If anyone has been here and can share some wisdom it would be really appreciated.

In a similar situation we just booked an appointment at the Land Registry. That was quite a few years ago but they might be a good place to start.0

Ring a solicitor and obtain a quote. Straightforward enough process.0

I'd use a solicitor, should be about a grand including VAT (but obviously depends on solicitor/location). Seems too serious to be mucking about filing TR1/AP1 yourself.
