Hello again, I'm back.
I've had a bad night, it's been so hot even though I've had the fan running on and off.
It's a grey start though I think the sun is scheduled to appear at some point.
No shopping is needed so I won't be going out, I have jobs to do here.
Hope all the poorly relatives are improving, thinking of them and anyone else who is poorly or sad.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. The sun may make it out from behind the morning haar later.Everything I did yesterday was eclipsed by a phone call from my physio at teatime with the findings from my MRI at the start of June. It's a mixed bag of bad and good news though mostly good. The scan showed a severe inflammation in the bursa around my right hip (boo) but it can be remedied with a steroid injection (woohoo) or , if that's not totally effective a small operation to remove the inflamed bursa. I can't tell you how happy and relieved I am as I was slipping deep into despair. There's a month long wait for the injection which I can live with, good is coming! 🎉😀
Then my happiness was completed by the GB men's 4x200 relay team winning gold medals by beating the big rivals USA and Australia, such a joy. 😀 I went to bed on a high which made sleep a bit difficult. 😀
Today I'm off to drop off some unwanted things, do some shopping and then visit a friend on the way home. I normally take her a couple of cakes but will get some luscious strawberries instead. The season for them is so short, cakes are all year round. My thoughts are with those having a difficult time, MrsM, Nan, DP1's little one and all others. I wish you a better day.11 -
Morning all
Glad you have a diagnosis Gers, and that it can be relatively easily treated. Enjoy your visiting, and 🍓
Yesterday was another full on day - DDad physio went well but he then couldn’t get comfortable the rest of the day as he has to keep his leg straighter. Don’t ask me how many combinations of chair/stool/pillow/cushion were tried.I slept for 7 hours straight last night which must be the first time for years! Sadly I still feel quite tired.I’m hoping today will be quieter though that may not happen……
Take care all

Morning everyone GERS that’s good news I had a steroid injection in my elbow years ago and it worked wonders I hope it’s the same for you . AA I had all the leg straightening with the hubby I think your DD sounds as if he’s doing well. I’m hoping DP1 little one is improving a bit more today and Mrs M I’m off to do a cleaning job in a minute it’s grey here but supposed to get out later I will come back and do my own housework but not a lot else going on . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning All
The sun is splitting the skies - dressing gowns are in the WM and should dry quickly.
Good news Gers, hope the injection does it's magic. I too got very excited at the swimming, the team did really well, congrats to them.
Hoping to hear good news from Mehefin and dp1.
Glad your DDad is going the right way Allie.
How are you doing Nanny?
Good meeting at the new allotment last night - I appear to be the secretary! Nice bunch of folk who all want the same thing which is a good start.
I have DS1 and family coming today and staying until tomorrow, I'm sure the little one will stay too as she'll be here too today and tomorrow. I may need a lie down on Friday! I have a quick (hopefully) hospital appointment first thing and then the fun begins.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning all
We had rain in the night and it’s a bit grey now but more sun promised later.
Gers I hope the jab works for you, I had one in my foot a few years back and it really helped xx
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work he loves it in the cafe and works really well, I need to pop in and do my shopping on the way home.
Dinner tonight will be pork chops and vegetable rice, dd is working late shift so will get fed at work.Hoping for good news on little one and Mrs M today xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning folks. Early start Olympics viewing this morning. I am exhausted watching the ladies triathlon. Such hard work.
Gers agree about the injection working wonders. DD had one in May - 2 month wait here! She was in agony but fine now.
Another hot and sunny one forecast here. I could get used to this but sadly its not going to last much longer.
Thinking of all the poorlies and keep hoping for better news. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all! More blastingly hot sun today, feel sorry for the poor blokes working, when the sun comes round the corner there's no shade in the garden at all. I pruned some of the holly that was growing in between the garaes yesteray, ended up shredding most of it last night at nine when it was cooler. Sorry neighbours! Did the rest this morning and put a lot in the green bin. Today I have a heart bloke appointment, take out the runner bean sticks that don't have runners on them, sow some rocket instead, go shoping for some cat food. I'll make a white pork pasta sauce for tonight, and I may make some pasties once the skirt is defrosted [ Nels, they're for you
] Thak god they left me my kitchen..
dp1, yes, might as well go away even if you are marking time, if you can't do anything, all you do is worry...Izzy, I may take you up on that offerGers, well hooray it's not something major, I bet that's a load off your mind. I hate that bit where you try and try to get fit or get better and it just doesn't happen but it takes so long to find out what it is...TA, hope you had more surprise cows! Allie, you're probably exhausted too being a carer [ more or less] for both of your parents] camelot, thats good, I've heard horror stories about allotment committees, nice to have everyone on the same page. Scarlet, it's so difficult to sleep when it's hot. I had the window guy round yesterday, we were talking about air conditioning and he said it wasn't worth it for the few days it's hot here. I disagreed, because you can't get cooler if it's hot without constantly being in the bath or shower but if it's cold, you just stick an extra blanket on..Take care all, keep up the fluids if you have the heat...

Good morning from Mehefinland
I'm afraid to say the news on Mrs. M is not good. The scan results show that she has oesophageal cancer which has spread within the body. Our worries about kidney damage and possible dialysis pale into insignificance. Today's adventure is a camera and hopefully some sample tissues so they can see what they are dealing with. This has come from nowhere with absolutely no indication that there was something so seriously wrong. As you can imagine, neither of us are in a good place currently, but I am trying my hardest to be strong for her.
From the pleasure of my big birthday and our 44th WA his time last month, to absolute devastation now. Life can be a !!!!!!.
My lovely neighbours and friends have been marvellous. One has volunteered to see to the animals until told not to. I have accepted the offer for evening feeds, but in some ways its my go to place too when I can switch off and concentrate on the chores etc, and spend some time with the animals we both love and care for.
Hugs and spoons as always
