Urgent agents say coming today

Hello,
I’ve posted before and am managing my debts on my own debt management plan. I have a few loan debts and I sent my first F&F offer last week (yet to hear back). This morning I awoke to the message below which is to do with a debt I haven’t even been told has gone into default yet! I’ve rung the number on the text and told him I wasn’t even in default yet and he said I should ring Everyday Loans before 4pm today. People turning up at my house is my biggest fear which I why I made sure with the other loan (Loans2Go) that I contacted the collection agency promptly. What should I say to Everyday when I ring them today? I’ve checked and I haven’t even got a default communication via email!

This is the text:
Good Morning

We have been instructed to send agents to attend your address with regard to your Everyday Loans account.

They are due to attend today 29/07/24 They will call between 4.30pm  and
8.15pm.

If this is inconvenient can you please call/text this number or call Everyday Loans direct before 1pm to make alternative arrangements.

Thanks

Peter

    Standard panic message.

Urgent notice of attendance, in short timeframe, designed to panic you.

Ignore them, if anyone should call, ignore them too, they have no power, its just like me calling on you, and I don`t know you from Adam.

Or you can simply tell them you will not be dealing with personal matters at the door, you will do so in writing only, goodbye.

Write and ask them to prove the debt in writing and until they do you have nothing to say to them.

  • Just don't answer the door to them. Would you answer the door to a double glazing salesman?
    They are just the same.

I would be wary of phoning as all they want you to do is pay them.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

They have as much right to enter your house as the milkman does.
  • Thank you everyone. I have messaged ‘Peter’ and requested he does not visit my premises this evening and that I await written confirmation first from Everyday Loans that the debt is in default and that it is being passed to an agency and then from the agency with full details of the debt. Thank you again.
  • Hello, sorry to bother everyone again but I’ve just got this message from the man who contacted me yesterday saying he was coming out. The letters he refers to are just ‘we haven’t received your payment’ letters. I’m confused as to his role in this. I’ve no intention of ringing them as this is my biggest debt and I’m waiting for it to go to default and be passed to an agency. Can anyone help me as to what is going on here?
    Hi

Sorry just re read that text. The debt hasn't been taken over by Ethicall, we are acting on behalf of Everyday.

They sent letters regarding the account on the following dates:

    7/6
    10/6
    19/6
    21/6

Please can you give them a call today to update them as to your current situation?

    Thanks

    Peter

Everyday haven't sold your debt. They have asked Ethicall to try and make you pay.

So nothings happened really. You might want to write to Everyday telling them and their agents to remove your phone numbers and email addresses. Otherwise just block Peter.

Sorry but I have to explain something to you, it will help you I promise.

    NEVER ENGAGE
    NEVER RESPOND
    NEVER CALL
    NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE
    DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR
    DO NOT LET ANYONE IN

Some choose to be obnoxious, others are funny, but the best is to ignore them totally because they then realise just how pathetic they really are.

What ever they said it is all designed to stress you, as others have explained

Do yourself a favour, get a video doorbell, cheapest is a wired one

Then open a youtube account and sign up for monetisation, then post the videos of these vermin, even if they just do a 180 the moment they see the video doorbell upload it and name them
