Morning all
No change with Mrs M. Just on maintenance pain relief and rehydration over the weekend. She manages to lose the canula twice yesterday when she was turning on the bed. As it has to go in her ankle it is an ongoing problem.
Thinking of getting some noise reduction ear thingys for her - it is so noisy on the ward with various machines beeping and burping continually. Not surprised she isn't sleeping well.
Been watching a bit of the 'limpix as rent a mob in the next cubicle say to the poor soul incarcerated there. Must be me but I do find other peoples conversations intrusive when they seem to be at such a high volume!! As Mrs M is normally quiet spoken and currently is slightly less coherent than normal it is irritating to say the least. Moan over.
Need to pick some beans (climbing French which I hadn't tried before). The things have gone mad. My lovely neighbour's sister used to call them 'laughing beans' because you could pick a load and go back a little later and the blighters seemed to have produced a load more and were laughing at you. A silly thing really but brings a smile.
Right chores beckon again so hugs and spoons as always

Morning Mehefin, thanks for starting. I've been busy catching up on all the news reading yesterdays thread. Sounds like the docs are trying hard to get to the bottom of Mrs Mehefins illness. Hope there is improvement soon.It was good to hear the scan was ok @dp1 and little one got outside for a bit, continuing well wishes for her.I moved all the pots from the back path yesterday to allow the tree men access but when no-one turned up by 10 DH rang to be told there was a problem with some equipment- hopefully tomorrow! We met up in the afternoon with DS2 and Gchildren, 2 of the men he and DH work with a lot are in a tribute band. They were appearing at a family fun day at a local pub near to him and not too far from where we lived for years so we went to watch - we saw quite a few people not seen for years. DB2, SiL and DN turned up, & also DS pal and family so we had a really good afternoon. DS1 picked us up but came in to say hello first; the 1st person he met was someone he knew from growing up so he stayed chatting. We were all outside in the sun by then.Called at the little Italian to take out pizza for when we got home.I took out a large gammon joint late on Friday night for today but DH also bought some meat yesterday when he went to pick some bbq stuff for DS2 to cook when they got back last night. As the weather is nice today, I think I'll have to use the meat and put the gammon in the sc.Hope you all have a good day, and our poorlies see an improvement .:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. good morning
Mehefin I feel sorry for your wife if it's so noisy - I'd definitely take her in some headphones. When little one has been in hospital over the years it's amazed me how noisy other peoples visitors can be. Luckily she's in her own room this time.
Too early for any news from the hospital - I'll pop back later. It's to be a lovely day here, I feel so cross that DD and little one are missing the lovely weather, they had lots of plans for the summer holidays x8 -
Morning folks and thanks Mehefin. I hope Mrs M gets a diagnosis soon. It's a worry.
I was awake crack of dawn thanks to the wood pigeons doing a route march on the van roof. Once.up and at em I gave all the pots a good hosing and managed to soak myself too. It's hot hot hot here already. Long may it last!
HUGS all in need and hoping Dp1's little un is improving by the day. Take.care all. Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Hello all, I thought it was Saturday, I must have lost a day somewhere.
Dad is now the proud owner of a new fridge/freezer, however yesterday he did look rather frail and we're worried that he's not looking after himself but he still refuses to let us organise any help 🤷♀️
Today I have stripped the bed and the bedding is now dancing in the wm, it'll be hung out later and it should dry because the sun is shinning fair to split the stones ! Mr Fix It currently has the Olympics on watching the archery and I'm dipping in and out while I work, no rest for the wicked as they say. I'll clean upstairs then re-make the bed. No idea as to meals today, I forgot to take any meat out of the freezer, maybe just have a salad and jacket potato.
Sending healing vibes to Mrs Mehefin and dp1 and family, hope both poorly ones improve soon. Hugs to all.

Morning all
Lovely bright day here long may it last, I have one load on the line and another in the wm they should dry well today.OH has gone to the boot sale so just dd and I here atm, we got some bad news re MIL yesterday she came home from hospital during the week and had two falls out of bed, FIL could not pick her up as he is frail as well so had to call the paramedics who have taken her back into hospital, she also keeps wetting herself ☹️ The hospital sent a letter home with her saying that she has dementia but they had not told FIL this and he only discovered it when reading the letter days later, FIL is unable to cope with her at home so now we have to start the ball rolling with finding a nursing home for her, I poor OH is upset but trying to keep busy, I just hope it’s not a long drawn out thing like it was with my dad.
Dogs to be walked later and dinner will be a bbq got to make the most of the good weather.
Mehefin let’s hope they get to the bottom of things soon xxx
DP1 thinking of little one and hopefully there will be an improvement soon xxx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -

Spoke to DD and little one is much the same as yesterday - still tired, sore and fed up. DD says I'm to still go on holiday on Thursday, I'm not sure. I have looked and I would be able to fly home every day I'm away, if that makes sense! Little one doesn't want to see anyone except her mummy and DD says she has to sit really quietly so as not to make little one's headache worse.
Little one did manage 30 minutes at the cinema yesterday, before she wanted to go back to her room to go back to sleep. They've changed her anti-sickness medication and plan to try her back on her feeding pump later - every time they've tried she's been really sick. That means she's going to need the operation on her stomach again at some point.
Been down to sit with dad while mam was at church this morning - he was on good form today and we had a good chat.
Hope everyone has a good day x6 -
Afternoon all - I had to do an urgent dash to Glasgow first thing this morning and have just got back. Everything sorted and I managed to get to Costco for loo rolls too so not all bad. Thanks to @Mehfin for starting us off. Your poor OH, being in hospital is not always the best place. My late DM hated the noise an the busyness of wards and, eventually refused to go back. She decided that as they couldn't make her better she'd prefer to stay at home. Single rooms, which are the norm in one of our big hospitals, were just as bad as patients struggle to catch the attention of staff and are isolated from others. Anyway, I wish her well.I missed out breakfast so am now off to have some lunch, I grabbed a cooked chicken on the way to the loo rolls and the smell has been tantalising me all the way home!Hugs to all, and thinking Nan's dear Dad too.7
