Overtime Holiday Pay

Hi,
My employer has just told me that I should be getting holiday pay on my overtime. From now on I will get 12% extra on my overtime pay, instead of accumulating extra holidays.
I have been on these shifts, working overtime regularly for 15yrs. They've said their will back date it up until January of this year.
Could anybody tell me if can claim back further.
