Hi Folks

The windscreen washer lid doesn't close properly on my car.

Can you advice how I can resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Start by checking that the lid and the neck of the tube are clean, and that the lid is seated correctly on the neck so that it fits "square".
Then check that the lid (especially the underside) is not damaged.  They're usually only quite flimsy plastic, so the lip or ridge on it can easily break.  If that's the case then you should be able to pick up a replacement lid for peanuts.
If it's the neck of the filler that's damaged, that's probably a little more tricky to replace, and probably not worth the bother.  If it were me I'd either jerry-rig a solution, or else just leave it as is and use a piece of cling-film or polythene bag and elastic band over the opening to stop any bits of muck falling in.  That's all that's needed really - you don't need to worry about washer fluid coming out, as such, you just want to stop little bits of muck getting in and clogging up the filter and washer jets.

Assume that’s the bonnet release wire running next to the bottle in which case try moving it across a little, that might just give you that little extra space. Can’t imagine otherwise why it’s not fitting

Looks like a push down & twist to lock, looking at the gaps in the rim of the neck.

That's a vw group set-up. All mine are like that, and one is tricky to close. You need to line it up perfectly and give it a good press

The lower blue ring should have a little nick in it that fits a little lump in the white bit. I can't see where that is from your photo.

At least it's got the inner cup with a bit of mesh in it. One of mine has disappeared. Actually you could try lifting it out and see if that's causing the problem.
