Octopus and Solaredge

I saw this linked elsewhere, upcoming support for some fancy tariff supporting Solaredge batteries.

https://www.solarpowerportal.co.uk/kraken-solaredge-grid-flexibility/

Note the article calls the tariff "Intelligent Octopus", it's not clear whether they actually mean "Intelligent Octopus Flux" the existing solar/battery tariff that up to now only supports Givenergy batteries.

It sounds more like a form of agile from the description. But maybe it's been over egged and is just IOF.

But then Gary does Solar (YouTube) did museum about the idea of an intelligent octopus agile tariff - complete shot in the dark, but there could be call for something like that in the long term.
PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)

I was waiting with baited breath for Octopus to support Solaredge.  I had challenged myself to implement PredBat with Home Assistant to do this level of close tie-in with Agile, but it's a gulf of complexity that may take me a while to figure out.  This news may make this a whole lot less hassle.

Supposedly this will be available in the UK and in Texas where Solaredge describe it as ..

"Intelligent Octopus for home batteries works to stabilize the Texas power grid by dispatching any available power from your battery back to the grid when it’s needed most. All you need to do is connect your home battery to Intelligent Octopus in the Octopus Energy app and we’ll handle the rest. You get rewarded every month your battery stays connected with 50% off your energy rate."
