Self Assessment - Additional earnings of £1300

Mrs B already fills in a self assessment as she has earnings from PAYE, property let and interest from savings over £1K, etc.
She is not registered as self employed but did works for a private  school last year and was paid £1300. She knows that this needs to be declared on her tax return but does she need to register as self-employed?

Was the work done as an employee or on a self employed basis?
