Sports Direct Refund Policy

Recently returned trainers due to stitching ripped. Trainers worn twice and purchased less that 1 month.Manager was called. I exlained the issue and just wanted replaced. Unfortunately they did not have my size. I then requested refund. Manager in aggressive tone "we dont do refunds your getting a credit note. At this stage i asked her not to be so aggressive. She then repeated credit note. I took the credit note then emailed Sports Direct. Who have now replied thats the stores policy when item is purchased in store. I have now requested Formal Complaint.  Can somebody advise if this is correct

Sports Direct are a dodgy company all round. I avoid shopping there unless I need something urgently and I can't get a suitable alternative from another retailer.
I can't advise on Sport Direct policies however the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to a full refund.
As you accepted the credit note you now have to deal with Sports Direct.  Hopefully a formal complaint, referencing the correct legislation, will make them play ball.  Publicly shaming them on review sites and social media is another avenue.
Had you not accepted the credit note you could have used chargeback via your card company.
