1.ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS

2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

 

2.1. There will be one (1) finalist brought to air each day (Monday 29th July – Wednesday 31st July) with a total of three (3) finalists making it to the final round of the “Borderlands” competition on HITS RADIO (Thursday 1st August) to play to win the prize pot.

 

2.2. Entrants must pre-register using the entry platform stated in section 1. ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS. Entrants must provide their ‘unique strength’ and specialist subject (more information provided on the main competition page URL HERE: XXXXXXXXXX) name, phone number and email address to be eligible for selection.

 

2.3. From those who have pre-registered correctly, 3 entrants will be selected each day for the opportunity to take part in our on-air game taking place on HITS RADIO, on Sam Thompson’s show, between 1900hrs and 2200hrs. For full dates please see section 3. DATES.

 

2.4. Selected contestants will be called the day before the on-air competition by a member of the HITS Radio team to let them know they have been shortlisted. This does not guarantee they will come to air. Shortlisted entrants will be told what time to look out for a call and only one will make it to air by random selection.

2.5. Please note, if the above presenter is absent for any reason a substitute presenter will take the place of the presenter. It is at the discretion of HITS RADIO production team who the replacement presenter will be.

 

2.6. During the competition week (stated in section 3. DATES) 1 contestant will come to air each day and tell Sam Thompson (presenter) what their unique strength is and why they should join Sams ‘Gang of Misfits’. Entrants are not permitted to alter their online submission based on what they say on air; only the original online entry will be accepted and evaluated.

 

2.7. Each contestant will be asked to come back to air Thursday 1st August 2024, in Sam Thompsons show (1900hrs to 2200hrs) for the final round. Entrants will work together to answer a quiz, based on their specialist subjects specified in their original online entry.

 

2.8. The contestants will take it in turns to each answer a question based on their specialist subject that was stated in the original entry form. Each correct answer is worth £1000, and the total amount won will be equally split between the 3 players. Therefore, if 1 question is answered correctly, they win £1000 split between 3. If 2 questions are answered correctly, they win £2000 split between 3. If all 3 questions are answered correctly, they win the total amount of £3000 split between 3.

 

2.9. If the contestants get 0 questions correct, Sam Thompson (presenter) will be given a question from the production team, if he gets it correct, he will win the total amount of £3000 for the contestants to split equally between them. If Sam also gets the question wrong, no money will be won for the contestants.

 

2.10. Please note, final decisions on the winner remain with the HITS Radio p[GW1] roduction team, only once being announced on air as the winner will the entrant be deemed a winner.

 

2.11. By participating in this contest, all winners agree to be available and willing to come to-air on HITS Radio during Sam Thompsons evening show 1900hrs – 2200hrs, Monday 29th July – Thursday 1st August. If the entrant is not able to come to air, they will forfeit their place in the competition. The winner and runner up also agree to provide their availability for the radio appearance as requested by HITS Radio.

 

3. DATES

The overall competition dates are:

 

Wednesday 24th July 2024 at 00:01 (Start time) to Thursday 1st August 2024 at 12:00. (End time)

 

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

 

Winner Announcement: The winner’s first name and hometown are available on request by emailing win@bauermedia.co.uk

 

However, if the winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

Entrants can be submitted between 00:01 on Wednesday 24th July 2024 until 12:00 on Thursday 1st August 2024 (the competition entry period) and selected entrants must be available to come to air between Monday 29th July 2024 to Thursday 1st August 2024. Or at a time as advised by the HITS Radio Producers.

 

Entries will be selected and short-listed throughout the competition entry period.

 

By participating in this contest, all winners agree to be available and willing to come to-air on HITS Radio. If the entrant is not able to come to air, they will forfeit their place in the competition. The winner and runner up also agree to provide their availability for the radio appearance as requested by HITS Radio.

 

Please note, recording times for the competition may difference to the on-air date. It is at the discretion of the HITS production team when your competition will be recorded and when it will be play out on-air.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

• Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
• One entry per person.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

5. THE PRIZE

Three (3) Winners will each receive the following prize:

Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 1.    INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

1.    Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

3.    If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

4.    We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
