Good morning Gers, thanks for starting.
It's cloudy but dry here.
Thinking of Dp1 and her family
and hoping that her dg d is responding to treatment.
Take care folks.12 -
The day has started well, clear sky, low mist and the geese honking loudly. Cloud is forecast.Yesterday turned into a very sunny and warm day, so unexpected. My window cleaner came, did the windows and then cleared out my gutters. The garden wall only had a small section which needed attention, the house had more. He always brings his BIL so he footed the very long ladder. I was really glad to have had that done.Whilst they were here I cut back a plant which was creeping over the stone slabs from the back door to the small barn. It's a very pretty yellowy green flower with plate-like leaves but I couldn't walk through it safely. Then I took away the big bag of recycling to where my exercise class is held. It wasn't on this week but the bag needed emptying. No idea about today yet, the muse hasn't hit me yet. My new woodburner fan is being delivered but I don't need to stay in for it, so who knows what the day will bring? My heart goes out to DP1, her DD and her wonder little one. 🤞💕10

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A lovely start here, currently blue sky and sun. Will it last?!
As the weather seems to be improving (albeit intermittently) I have decided to go to the caravan at the w/e for maybe a week or so. I did some cooking of stuff to take with me yesterday. I might pop down town this morning for other bits I will probably need.
My thoughts are with Dp1, her DD and the little one. I hope she is responding to treatment, poor little mite and that we get better news today.. ((HUGS)) for all else in need and have a lovely day if you can. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning allHoping the drizzle keeps off so I can go out for a walk today. Recovered after my marathon on Sunday (well, it felt like a marathon to me!). A bit of admin to do re a holiday in February, airport parking and overnight stay to book so that'll keep me amused for a while.Thinking of DP1 and her DD and DGD. Lets hope it's more positive news today.Hope everyone has a good day x9

Morning All
What a glorious morning here, the sun is shining and it's warm. Washing is in and should dry quickly outside.
I had a lovely day yesterday with DD and the little one - we met up with some friends at the Kelpies and had a good chat and some chips! They have a 5 month old baby who was good fun and the little one had a great time running about. There's a huge playpark very nearby so we went there for an hour too. Thankfully the traffic wasn't too bad on the way home.
Today I must visit my new allotment which is just down the hill, I've been given a bed in a brand new community garden so had better go and weed it, will probably just have to cover it until next year once the weeds are out. Hopefully I'll be able to sit out and read later on.
Hope you have better news this morning dp1 and the little one is on the mend, such a worry for you all.
How's the work coming along taff?
Enjoy the sunshine if you have it, take care. XX9 -
Morning all, thanks Gers for starting.I've just seen your news from yesterday dp1. Your head must be in bits. I am sending hugs and my very best wishes to you all.I'm thinking I may have a bus trip today, it's a gorgeous day. I don't blame you for going to the caravan TA if it's going to be nice, may as well make the most of it after a very poor summer so far..I've ordered a meat pack from the butchers to be collected tomorrow, not much variety left in the freezers. We had pulled pork last night, men had it on soft rolls. I made another loaf yesterday but messed up slightly, I tried pulling out the paddle but must have got the timing slightly wrong and the top sunk a bitTaff the yeast seems fine after freezing. I got the idea off a FB page for my model. Some people even put it in frozen, not tried that though!Right, better make a move, have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers
Thinking of DP1 her DD and little one, hoping today will bring better news. Sending you love
Raining so no gardening and I won't have to water except for the greenhouse, which is a bonus.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Good morning
Thank you all so much for your lovely messages and Gers for your PM - they all mean so much to me.
DD and little one did get moved to the RVI, though later than she expected. Little one was heavily sedated and had the lumbar puncture - the first results have come back inconclusive - this could be because she's already on antibiotics. There's other results that take longer. She's already seen a doctor who said they may do a brain scan today, which will be under general anaesthetic. Little one was sleeping when I spoke to DD earlier - I'm just praying when she wakes up she'll be a bit better. I seem to have so much spinning around in my head, things that could have happened in her brain.
Better get on, I need to go down and see mam and dad this morning. Then I'm going to get my hair cut, which I don't really feel like doing, but I'm going away next week - hopefully x9 -
It's a very anxious time for you and your Dd, Dp1. It's hard not to think the worst.
Hope you get some better news today xx7
