You beat me to it! My thread will have to stay unused lolMorning allUp and out early today as we're going to visit Buckingham Palace. Had a nice evening celebrating a 40th birthday last night except, and I know I shouldn't complain, but the air con worked VERY well at the venue and after a nice warm day in the garden I was freezing.I've just been looking for a particular app that shows you where all the public toilets are around the country. I think it's going to make my days out more enjoyable and relaxing (sorry if this is too much information!)Have a good day to you all x

Thanks for the starters.Chrisca -enjoy your day, get practising your curtsy 😂. I’m sure many of us would be interested in the ‘toilet’ app!
Yesterday went like this - dog walk, shopping, gardening, hospital visiting, neighbour ‘popped’ in (for an hour!), dinner, cleaned two cupboards, craft work, collapse into bed.DF looks well but in a lot of pain - will visit again this afternoon - he should be discharged tomorrow. We had a load of rain and it’s much cooler and less oppressive this morning - hoping the lawn dries as it hasn’t been cut for over 2 weeks. Have a good Sunday all

Morning All
Thanks for the starts, difficult to know which one to post on!
It's dry for now but quite overcast, don't really have enough washing to put out, yesterday's is on the pulley so it can stay there.
I got to the allotments/community garden about 9 yesterday morning to help and ended up cooking all the burgers and sausages for 4 hours - didn't really want that job as I hate the smell but needs must. It was really busy, lots of folk coming along to see what goes on and to buy veggies and eat burgers. I think quite a lot of money was raised, will have to wait until tomorrow to see what the total is. Although it was hard work I throoughly enjoyed it. Once home I had a shower and put my pjs on and sat vegging on the sofa!
The glut of courgettes has already started so I have some salted and will make a batch of chutney later, will have to pop to the shop to get some ingredients then I can start. Neighbour's rhubarb is also ready for another batch of jam so may get that done later if it rains (it will!).
Glad the op went well Allie, hope your DF isn't in too much pain.
Enjoy your trip to Buckingham Palace Chrisca.
Must get moving, I've been up for hours pottering about. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all - thanks for starting us off Scarlet. Yesterday was much of a washout. Drizzle turned into heavy rain which lasted until well into the evening. My shopping trip was mostly successful, I didn't get everything I wanted but I'll survive. Monitoring my spending is also mostly successful though not always. Next month my car insurance is due, the quote form my current company is £200 more than last year, it's quite shocking. If the rain holds up I'll do a little walking once analgesics take hold.Well done @Camelot - not a job I'd relish.@TA - hope you get your shopping done.Hugs to all who could use one.9

Morning all from Mehefinland
Well Ds and Toxic came yesterday for a flying visit and surprisingly it went ok!! She is mellowing but he still has a big thumb print on his head IYKWIM. Glad they came in a way as Mrs M still very unwell and I am seriously concerned about her. 3 econsults and 3 different lots of meds and no discernable improvement, although the pain in the back seems to have diminished.
Scooby's lumps and bumps are still bothering her, so a liberal coating of Sudocrem applied to the itchy bits. At least it gives some relief and keeps the flies off for a while.
Some creature has fallen down the woodburner flue and is banging about in the top. Will have to investigate, but I'll make sure everything is covered up, and all the windows open .. I remember last time and a terrified bird whizzing around and crapping everywhere!! Could do without it today!
Ho - hum nothing for it.lol
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning everyone
Yesterday was very warm again - I spent time pottering in the garden and sitting reading. It was lovely and quiet, everyone must have taken their children out for the day. I have some very loud neighbours though thankfully not right next door to me.
It was pouring with rain when I went to bed last night but it can't have lasted all night as the paths look dry this morning. Today is to be cooler and cloudy, hopefully warm enough to sit outside this afternoon.
This morning I'll go down to sit with dad while my mam goes to church.
DD says Lithuania is a lovely place and not too busy with tourists...she's staying in a cute little loft apartment.
My mam always says all our names and then 'oh who are you?' or she'll call me by the wrong name and say 'oh you know who I mean' - I am their only daughter.
Dad usually knows it's me if I'm wearing my purple work t shirt, when I'm not he often calls me by one of his carers names, though as he's got dementia I'm just pleased he's happy to see me.
Chrisca - enjoy your day, I'd love to visit Buckingham Palace.
Glad to hear your dads op went well Always Allie.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all, much cooler today after rain yesterday, fairly bright though.Had a nice morning yesterday when we went with my DB1 to an event at Salford quays. Only problem was he misread it, thought it was a classic car spares thing. There were a few cars on show, but it was mainly a vintage clothes/ bric-a-brac car boot , not really the mens kinda thing
. Lots of young people looking/buying though the price of some things was
We stopped off for a coffee to give DH hip a rest, watching the world go by, plenty going on, a race, bungee jumping, open air swimming & then fire brigade doing manoevres in the water too. Had a good chat with DSiL when we got back ( she declined to come
) then came home. DH cooked some stuff on the bbq for tea. I've taken a pie out for later, given the cooler weather. The bm is on doing a half white/half wholemeal loaf..
We may go to the farmers market at an old hall a few miles North today.Glad your dad is doing ok after his op AAMehefin glad the visit went well but hope MrsM improves soon.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Quick update from Mehefinland
It was a young crow.. managed to catch it after I had got the baffle out, and after a battle with that. Quick grab with an old sheet and released through the front window. Very little mess thank goodness.

Morning all, I'm a bit late but I had a lie in. We had a really lovely evening with DD and her family yesterday, good food, great company and I may have also had a glass of wine or three ! DD showed me how her new endeavour about mystery book packages will work and is trying her best to get me involved. She knows that dangling anything about books in front of my nose will probably get me hooked😂
DD and the DGC will call up later with their hamsters, we're looking after them while they are on holiday. I forgot to sort out anything for tea today so we'll have a freezer dip later and I also have some clean washing to put away then other than that it will be a day of sloth.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday, hugs to all the poorly ones and those in hospital or recovering.
Take care all, keep well.
