Hi Lucielle
I have a horse too and know what a strain they can be financially! Is there any way you can place your horse on loan to avoid having to sell? x x
sometimes you just have to face the situation head on and make what for you is a tough decision - sell the horse and don't look back, you can not afford it.

Good luck....0 -
I don'y know what i'm pn about but penguin and alibi seem to have some good ideas on the horseOn a mission0

You have a good income and are lucky to have such low rent.
First things tho, the horse needs to be cheaper and I think then a DMP might be a good idea, it will however doing nothing for your credit rating but if you could get the interest frozen on your accounts with the amount of money you have after paying essential costs you really could have yourself straight in a few yrs.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0 -

Not being funny but does the horse need shoeing every month? Or can it go unshod say during the winter? Is the horse being used every week/day or whatever. If it isn't then you will have to think if they are worth it. The loaning out thing seems a good idea, particularly if they went halves or something, so you still got to ride it sometimes. But when it comes down to it, the children are more important than the horse.....

Thats a fair point chev - my horse has had all four shoes removed and is now trimmed every 4 weeks - much cheaper - get your farriers advice first though.
The amount you have allowed for your horse seems very low - have you included everything.
If you do decide to sell make sure everything is up to date - vaccinations, wormers and passport - it will help with the sale price to have a full history x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.0 -
I know the thought of selling the horse may be a very hard thought, but thats your defecit sorted! I love animals with a passion (big dogs) i don't have one, purely because to keep one will up me outgoings £15 a week and then yearly boosters and then the vet bills in later life. I hope this doesn't sound harsh or come across as harsh i don't mean it to but sometimes in life these hard choices do have to be made.
Also where do you live(Mars)? why is dyslexia not recognised? thats terrible.
As for your food bill you can easily half that with planning trust me i did not think it was possible, i also have 4 children, 1 still in nappies. I spend about £70 a week sometimes less. Try shopping online and use money off vouchers this way you can watch what your spending. Or make a list and stick to it.
Make the kids up packed lunches, so much cheaper. My kids have fresh fruit everyday, and it still works out cheaper than buying lunches.
Good luck hun and try and keep your chin up xxYou can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
