Loan against Mortgage

Currently with Nationwide with a value of £220,000 and mortgage remaining of £163,000.
Would we be best trying to borrow more against the mortage through Nationwide as opposed to a different company? As we are currently with them I would have thought it would be easier, but I may be wrong?
If its to pay other debts off and home renovations (new kitchen), would they agree to that or would it be best going with the home renovations only etc?
Also, what documents would they require?

You don't have a lot of equity in the house so you might struggle. It will depend on how much you are looking to borrow and the reason.
Using equity built up to replace the kitchen is probably a valid use, paying off other debts not so much.0 -
It would be for £20,000 or £25,000. Would this be too much?0
