Good morning, it's sunny here, a bit chilly, but it'll warm up.
I went to the Metro centre yesterday but didn't get what I wanted in Lake*and or M&S! However I did buy some new oven gloves in TK M*xx, so that's something.
The cardigan I'd wanted at M&S, they only had one in extra large, but I was able to order my size on the internet when I came home.
Dil's mum is coming over today for lunch, I''ll meet her off the bus. She normally drives over but has decided to bus it today.
That's it for today, Hope everyone has a good day. Thinking of our mia's and anyone who is sad or poorly.
Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. The sun is shining and it's forecast to reach 22 deg today. Wow! I hope they are right about that as yesterday they forecast thunderstorms which never happened!
NAN it was good to hear from you at last but I'm so sorry you have been having such a tough time. I hope there are better days to come. DP1 don't tell little one but I have never ever been to Butlins either! My DD goes now and then for theme weekends in the winter months with her lady friends and they seem to enjoy it. It's just never tempted me.
All being well I am meeting my DF for lunch today. She seemed happier after their doctor's appointment yesterday and said he was very thorough, very attentive of all they had to say and she seems far more positive that something is going to get done at last. She will go into more detail of what's ahead when we meet. IF we meet!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Thinking of our poorlies or fed up. Take care all xx ps welcome back CAMELOT x

Good morning everyone.I was productive yesterday, am worn out now. 😂 My final job was cutting the grass which was getting so long that I was actively avoiding doing it. In the end it only took me 15 minutes. All the bedding dried beautifully in the stiff breeze too. This morning I have a wee meeting then doing my 'locum' stint. So far the threatened rain has not arrived and it's warm, not convinced it'll stay that way.
How lovely to see you @Nan though not so good to read about your tough times. Coping with an elderly, frail and stubborn parent is extremely challenging never mind them accepting the role reversal. 💕
Must away, have a good day everyone.9 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
After a morning of heavy rain yesterday it turned really warm and sunny so all the washing was dried outside, there's now the ironing to do but that can wait! Garden tidied with lots of things cut back so it's looking a lot better now. Nipped up to the allotment and gathered some courgettes and peas - the little one can have the peas from the pod.
Suitcase emptied and most things put away, the case is going to the tip as the handle broke just before I came back.
Went shopping as I had no fresh food at all and the freezer had been switched off.
I had a little nap yesterday, 12 until 2 and felt much better for it, along with a proper meal - the airline food was awful!
Sorry you're having such a rough time Nanny, hope things improve for you all soon.
I have the little one today and tomorrow whilst Mum & Dad are at work so I had better get moving.
Have a good day, take care. XX8 -
Morning all from Mehefinland
Just popping in to say hello. Its been a very strange 2 weeks since my burpday and our wedding anniversary. Mrs M pulled a muscle in her back ( she says she felt it go) and suffered for a while with the pain but no relief with over the counter stuff. After much nagging from me eventually did an online consultation and got a call back from docs in record time. In for an appointment same day and diagnosis confirmed. Was prescribed horse strength drug and has had a massive reaction to it. Been like a zombie since last Thursday, sleeping all the time, no appetite, generally listless and not 'right'. So another e-consult, and a change of pill Monday. No significant change although she says the backpain has subsided somewhat. I'm knackered as doing all the gee gee stuff on top of looking after her, but that's life, and there are far worse off than me/us.
Had to cancell a reunion dinner this coming Friday- she says it would be a waste as she doesn't want to eat much. Trying to tempt her with all sorts of goodies o not much avail currently.
Weather has finally improved after a very mixed week (our heating came on this morning- a quick adjustment of the thermostat sorted that). Poor old Scooby has been bitten to pieces by the flies, and has a big scab on her belly which she keeps kicking at. Sudocrem to the rescue! A good dollop seems to be working at the moment, and it was quite comical as she stretched her neck out and was obviously enjoying the cool relief. if they could only talk.
Rescued a hoglet out of the road yesterday afternoon. It seemed healthy, just a bit lost. Usually a bad sign if you see them in daylight. Put it in the long grass on the other side of the road.
Supposed to be getting a visit from DS and Toxic on Saturday, but M4 bridge is partially shut over the weekend so I can see that being cancelled/postponed.
That's it for now. Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all, nice & sunny atm. I'm feeling a bit pooped this morning as pooch hasn't been settling down at night until about 12.30. She keeps wanting to go out, gets a drink, comes back in and 2 minutes later she's off again. Last night next doors dog was barking outside which didn't help and she did one of her massive woofs. Good job 2 lots of neighbours are away
- I suppose in dog years she's nearly 80 so I'm wondering if she's getting a bit senile
It's ds birthday today, will see him later when we pick DGS up. We wanted to all go out for a meal together but apparently DGD's training starts again tonight , so we'll have to decide on another day & it'll be something quick once we get home, possibly scampi for the men.Mehefin, sorry to hear about your Mrs. - sounds horrible and hope she picks up soon.Likewise Scooby, wonder if sudocrem would help me with midge bites - I'm still being plagued !Have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. It’s actually sunny here and set in for a few days it’s very welcome after the cold and rain we have all had ! Rob is still poorly so the rest of the week off for me they haven’t got covid but some kind of flu bug hopefully they will be right by Monday.
I have got the next load of outside cushion covers in the wm and the last load in soak in vanish in the sink I will get them all on the line today and back on the sofa ready for the warmer weather.
I have to go shopping later and take the dogs out for a walk, I’m going to do a curry for dinner so will prepare that and get it in a low oven for while.
Camelot nice to see you back, how was it ? Xx
Nan nice to see you posting hope things improve for you xxx

Morning..sunny...I have some stuff to take to places today and the wood to cut up so it'll fit in my car. I would burn it but it's been painted with a fence paint that is plasticised, so we won't, although I might be able to repurpose some of it. I've been down the rabbit hole of youtube so far today and yesterday, looking at sewing projects, my own sewing projects, and DIY type stuff. I do like it because you can pretty much find out how to do anything you like on there but then it becomes like Pinterest, a time suck...Nanny, sorry your father is being a pita, Nels charabanc would have sorted that out...and a bit of duct tape would sort the rest
mehefin, hope she recovers quickly, i don't want to be indelicate but strong painkillers can sometimes have effects on the digestion...Rosy, hope their heads are less sore today! Take care all, enjoy the sunny day if you have it!

Afternoon all, thank you for your warm welcome back and your kind words.
As the sun was shining this morning we decided to go out to the garden centre for lunch. Salmon, new potatoes and salad for me while Mr Fix It had his usual curry and half and half. Both meals were delicious and no washing up ! I treated myself to a new jigsaw and 2 books, both thrillers, to take on holiday if we ever get away this year, hopefully we can in Sept 🤞. Mr Fix It had a new pair of rubber clogs and out of all the colours he chose a lovely sickly pea green 🤢. (Mine are Barbie pink so I can't lose them or he lose me on site 😂) Hopefully we will go over the van to finish testing the tap tomorrow, we had to leave everything in limbo while I had my treatment and Dad was in hospital. I'll make some sandwiches and a flask for lunch.
We called into Dad's while he was waiting for his "terrorist a la Nelski " to arrive and I took him 2x hm faggots and peas, a few other bits that he needed and his medication that the pharmacist had held back while he was in hospital. He was dressed to impress but confused as to her name and the date of my next cancer appointment, even though I have reminded him several times.
taff I miss Nelski and the charabanc talk, we always said we'd pair up my Dad and her Mum and send them to Australia or Mars, depending on how they were behaving. BTW I thought I saw you down that rabbit hole, it's lethal just to look these days !
Izzy my oven needs doing too please if you're at a loose end🙏
Camelot glad to see you're back, must have been a fantastic adventure.
RedRuby enjoy your free time, especially if you are getting paid.
Rosy happy birthday to your DS and I hope your dear pooch is ok.
Mehefin gentle hugs to you and Mrs M, hope her back improves soon.
Scarlett well done on getting your size cardi ordered online, shame it wasn't in store.
Gers thank you for getting my Dad off to a tee, he's all of those things 🙄
TA I'm glad your friend seems happier re her DH. Hope you enjoy your lunch.
Hope I haven't missed anyone out, hugs all round.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8
