Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter: Football League Limited (The), Efl House, 10 - 12 West Cliff, Preston, Lancashire, England, PR1 8HU (EFL)

2. Eligibility: Competition open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 years and over, except employees and families of the Promoter and its affiliate companies, agencies and anyone professionally connected with the promotion (including those working for Wasserman). Entries to the prize draw are limited to one entry person unless entrants successfully complete the Bonus Entry Mechanism (as defined below) where entrants will receive an additional 10 bonus entries into the Prize Draw.

3. Promotional Period: Competition shall open at 23:59 BST on 15th July 2024 and close at 17:00 BST on 31st July 2024. Following the end of the Promotional Period, no other entries will be permitted. 

4. Entry Instructions: The promotion is a prize draw, with a free entry route as set out below. All entrants must complete the entry form hosted on https://eflprizedraws.live.partnership-hub.co.uk/carabao_vip_club_experience during the Promotional Period (providing all necessary information requested) to be in with a chance to win (Entry Route). Those who complete the Entry Route will receive one entry into the prize draw. Once you have completed the Entry Route, you will be presented with an opportunity to complete a short survey which will enable you to receive an additional 10 bonus entries where you complete this survey (Bonus Entry Mechanism). If the Entry Route and Bonus Entry Mechanism is completed by an entrant, they will have eleven (11) entries in the prize draw. In respect of both the Entry Route and the Bonus Entry Mechanism, we will not accept:

   •  entries submitted after the end of the Promotional Period;

   • entries that are only partially completed; or

   • entries sent in through agents, other websites or through any means which intends to deceive or manipulate fair process such as through any automated or ‘bot’ entry process or through the creation of multiple accounts.

1. Each entrant may only complete the Entry Route and Bonus Entry Mechanism once (i.e. one entry to both per person). You can only complete the Bonus Entry Mechanism where you have successfully completed the Entry Route. The EFL has the right to disqualify any entry by an individual where that individual has made multiple entries into the Entry Route and/or the Bonus Entry Mechanism or where any entry made does not comply with these terms and conditions.

2. Prize: There are two (2) prizes to be won and they are:

   • 1st Prize – this prize shall be one (1) Club Experience for the First Winner (as defined below) (1 person) to visit the training ground of an EFL Club of the First Winner’s choice (Preferred Club). This Club Experience will include a behind-the-scenes tour and an opportunity to watch the first team of your Preferred Club train (First Prize).  

   • Runner Up Prizes – there is one (1) prize bundle to be won by the Runner Up (as defined below) and the prize bundle shall contain the following (Runner Up Prize):

   • A pair of general admission match tickets to a Carabao Cup Round One Match of the Runner Up’s choice for the 2024/25 Football Season (Match Tickets).

   • One (1) Carabao Cup Puma Replica Football; and

   • 1 x 12 pack of Carabao Sport Energy Drink. 

   • Note – you and your guest must be home supporters of the EFL Club that you select to watch using the Match Tickets and the date of the match will be agreed between the EFL (or its nominated third party) and the winner. No guarantees can be given that the Match Tickets will be available for: i) a particular Carabao Cup Round One match; ii) a particular EFL Club; and/or iii)  that the match you select will go ahead on the date and/or time you have chosen. The event organizer/EFL may reschedule any match without notice and without liability whatsoever to you. If you win the First Prize, you must also be a supporter of the Preferred Club.

3. Winner selection: All successful entries will be entered into the Prize Draw (in accordance with the Entry Instructions above). The Promoter shall then select the winners using a randomized computer process from all valid entries received. The Promoter shall draw two (2) names using the randomized computer process who shall be deemed winners (Winners) and Prizes will be allocated to amongst the Winners as follows:

   • First Winner – the first name/person drawn out of the prize draw shall receive the First Prize above.

   • Runner Up  – the second name/person drawn out of the prize draw shall receive the Runner Up Prize.

   A member of the Promoter’s verification team or a nominated third party (on behalf of the Promoter) will get in touch with the Winners via email in order to verify their age, identity and collect their address details (which you acknowledge may be used to deliver the Prize you have won). You acknowledge and accept that in this Competition, the EFL may provide your personal details to Wasserman (the EFL’s nominated third party for operating this prize promotion) for the purpose of Wasserman conducting the verification process set out above. Should any winner fail to respond to the Promoter’s/Wasserman’s (as the case may be) notification within seven (7) days, it shall be deemed that such winner has forfeited the Prize and the Promoter shall select an alternative winner using the same process as was used to select the original winner. Where a winner fails to verify their age or is underage, they will be automatically disqualified from this Competition and the Promoter will select a new winner using the same process as was used to select the original winner.

4. Entrance into the draw will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

5. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or any part of the Prize) for one of its choosing which has a value the same or greater than the original Prize (or the part of the Prize replaced), in the event of circumstances outside its control making the Prize unavailable. The Prize may be subject to availability and change where expressly stated.

6. The EFL Club hosting the match selected by the winner to watch (via the Match Tickets) will be notified of the identity of the winners and their guest(s), and databases will be checked against any Club Banning Orders, as well as the National Police Database for those who may be subject to a Court Banning Order. Any persons found subject to a club or court banning order are not eligible to enter this competition or claim the Prize.  If a winner’s guest(s) is subject to a club banning order or court banning order then they are not eligible for the Match Tickets, and the winner will need to identify a different guest(s) to use this part of the Prize.

7. Your entry (including winning entries) may be disqualified if we have good reason to believe you have broken these terms and conditions or if you or your selected guest acts in a way towards the EFL, the EFL Clubs, any of the EFL’s commercial partners, any other person entering the draw or EFL or EFL Club staff, which we reasonably consider to be inappropriate, unlawful or offensive. If the winning entry is disqualified we may redraw the Prize and award it to another person following the same process set out in these terms.

8. Any personal data relating to entrants will be kept securely and used solely for the purposes of administering this promotion and/or Prize fulfillment by the Promoter and/or by any agent of the Promoter appointed to assist with running the promotion or administering the Prize (including Wasserman and/or any EFL Club (where necessary). Further information about the EFL’s use of personal data generally can be found in the EFL privacy notice at  https://www.efl.com/efl-privacy-notice/. Use of your personal information will not include sending you electronic marketing communications unless you have opted in to receive such communications (and you are free to unsubscribe from these communications at any time in the future). Note - you must bring this privacy notice to the attention of any guest(s) you may nominate and you agree that you will do this prior to providing any personal information of your guests to the EFL.

9. If a winner and/or their guest(s) has any special accessibility requirements in order to use the Match Tickets, the winner will need to make the Promoter aware of this as soon as the winner has won the Prize.

10. Where you win the First Prize, the EFL cannot guarantee:

    • that your Preferred Club will be available for selection for the First Prize;

    • that the Club Experience will be available on a particular date or time; and/or

    • that first team training will take place when you are on the Club Experience. You acknowledge that the above Club Experience only offers an opportunity of this potentially occurring during your Club Experience.

11. EFL shall decide in its sole discretion the dates and times available for the First Winner to use the Club Experience although the EFL will consider the First Winner’s availability. EFL reserves the right to re-arrange any agreed date for the Club Experience without liability to the First Winner. EFL will exercise reasonable endeavours to provide advanced notice of any change of agreed dates for the Club Experience but you acknowledge that dates and times may change with little or no prior notice as a result of changes in training schedules and fixtures of EFL Clubs.

12. Winners of any of either the First Prize or the Runner Up Prize will be bound by any additional terms and rules of conduct set out by the relevant EFL Club, venue host (including training ground) or event organiser (EFL) (including, amongst other things any terms of issue associated applicable ground regulations, any ticketing terms and conditions (which can be found here: www.efl.com/ticketconditions), and other policies applicable to visitors at the venue or event). The Promoter and/or event organiser/operator (including EFL Clubs) reserves the right to refuse entry and/or require winners and/or their guest(s) to leave the venue or refuse entry should the winner or guest(s) not comply with these terms, rules or policies, any applicable law or regulation or other reasonable directions or the promoter or event organiser/operator, or because of winners or guest(s) inappropriate behavior. Winners are responsible for the behavior of themselves and their guest(s) whilst using the Prize (including the Club Experience and Match Tickets). The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the winner and/or the winner's guests are denied entry or asked to leave the match for failure to abide by such terms, any applicable law or regulation or because of their inappropriate behaviour.

13. Your chosen guests must use the Match Tickets. Name changes are not permitted in respect of the Match Tickets, unless expressly agreed in writing (at the sole discretion of the EFL) on a case by case basis.

14. The Prize does not include any other facilities of expenses whatsoever, such as (by way of example and all of which are the responsibility of the winner and/or their guest(s)) the following:

    • travel to or from the venues and associated charges;

    • accommodation;

    • travel insurance;

    • tips, gratuities, room service, drinks or meals; and

    • any other costs associated with the trip.

15. Insofar as permitted by law, the EFL, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize (except for personal injury or death caused by the negligence of the EFL, its agents or distributors). Your statutory rights are not affected. The EFL is not liable for any business losses incurred by entrants.

16. The Prize winner may be asked to have photographs taken or participate in filming, editorials for press or promotion purposes of the EFL, and/or their group companies. These together with the winner’s name may be published.

17. Match Tickets will be provided to you by the Promoter or Wasserman (via delivery to nominated postal address or where e-Tickets apply, via email) or may be available for collection for match day collection from the venue where the Carabao Cup Round One match you have selected to attend is to be held. In either case, the winner must provide photo ID or the Match Tickets will not be released. Match Tickets may not be available for release or delivery at the end of the Promotional Period and as such, dates for delivery/collection of the Match Tickets you select shall be decided by the EFL in their sole discretion. You also agree that the EFL shall also have the right to provide e-Tickets to you via a nominated email address that you provide (to be decided in the EFL’s sole discretion) and the EFL makes no guarantee that you will receive paper tickets. You also acknowledge and accept that the EFL may also decide (in its sole discretion) to allow Wasserman to provide the Match Tickets to you directly via any of the methods mentioned above.

18. The prize is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Under no circumstances can this prize be transferred to a third party of sold for any financial amount.

20. Subject to applicable law, the name and county of any Prize Winner will be available by sending a written request to: Commercial Department, EFL, Fourth Floor, Fifty Paddington, 50 Eastbourne Terrace London W2 6LGEFL. Entrants agree their name and county may be disclosed for this purpose.

21. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and any winners agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of these terms and conditions.
