Sorry this may be an easy question can you use a Nintendo DS bought in the states over here. Do you have to get a special adapter?
My dd would like one and I am going to the states next month so her Christmas money should go further!!
Thanks in advance for your help.

You'll need a new power supply but they are resonably cheap, for example £5 delivered from game.co.uk. Otherwise it will work.

My daughter's DS Lite came from America and works fine. The only difference I have found is we use a shaver plug to enable the charger to fit.0

My brother in law brought one back from the States last year as a birthday gift for our son. It needed a UK power supply (very cheap, as said above) but apart from that it was identical to the ones here. Still working fine, 15 months on.
My BIL bought one for his own son too, plus a very snazzy accessory/storage case which I've never seen here. Worth looking out for stuff like that too while you're over there, I would say.Val.0 -

My mate bought a game in the us and works on uk machines so I think they're totally identical (ie no region locking etc). Worth getting a couple of games as well as they're about £10-15 whereas they're £25-30 over here.
X Box 360 premium pack works out as £150 and PS3 60GB is about £200-250 but not sure if these are region restricted or not. Lots of bargains though!matched betting: £879.63
