Morning all
Oh well, it wasn't to be although I think the better team won.
Lovely day today but apparently we're going to have showers later
I'm going to the cinema today all on my own for the very first time to watch Despicable Me 4 before the school holidays start. I love those films
Apart from that the day is my own.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Chrisca. Enjoy your film.My weekend was lovely despite the long drives. The weather in Hexham on Friday was so warm and sunny. The comedian was funny in a 'different' way so it was worth seeing him. I took the scenic route down to Penrith, through Alston, which was beautiful even in the rain. Seeing my old friends was such a joy so I can forget the rain and cold. Back home the weather was fabulous. 😀 Another joy was that a chippie van was at the holiday lodge camp so we had brilliant chippy teas, something I've not had for ages. Now I'm resting up! Later on, and every afternoon this week I've volunteered to help out at a local business for two hours a day. It has a short term problem so I'm not committing to anything more. I haven't read back yet so hope that everyone is doing well. It's St. Swithin's day so fingers crossed for it to stay dry.11

Good morning, thanks for starting Chrisca.
It's sunny here, after a cold wet day yesterday. The house was so cold that we had the heating on for a couple of hours last night.
We weren't out at all yesterday, just pottered round the house. It's hairdo day today, and I'll go to Morries or Ice*and for one or two essentials. I don't do much in the way of a big shop every week now, just seem to go out for a few things, like today. The freezer is full, and I have a good stock of tins, that seems to suffice most of the time. I can walk to the shops easily enough.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning folks and thanks CHRISCA. Surely it's next time for England, they are knocking on the door. Well there was actually sunshine first thing but I don't think it's set to last, though no rain forecast until this evening. And it feels warmer too.
No plans for today, bitsa this and bitsa that. There's always something that needs doing isn't there.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all. A bit of sunshine here this morning.
Glad you enjoyed your trip Gers. We were near to Penrith last week and have been to Hexham previously. I remember doing a good walk at Allen Banks, which is nearby.
We got the kitchen freezer defrosted yesterday and could do with defrosting the one in the garage but will have to wait until that's a bit emptier. Also got one load of washing dried on the line. I need to get myself a new pair of slippers as these are falling apart so might have a bus trip today. I also want to contact the Surgery regarding my chesty cough but the online appointments booking section is closed until 1pm for some reason.
Have a good day all.9 -
Morning everyone Gers nice to hear you had a good tripWL I’m pleased I haven’t got two freezers I know what a muddle this one gets in . Nothing much happening here I’ve got a load of washing in but weather it goes out is doubtful then I will get some housework done but other than dog walks it’s the same old . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Not raining here for the moment but they have said we are due some mid morning and then all day 🙄 I must go and get the new to us garden sofa cushions in the covers all need a wash so I might start on that today, there are quite a few so will have to do them in batches, it’s very lovely and comfortable though we tried it out yesterday evening but it does all need a good clean.
I have no people today both poorly again Robs mum thinks they might have covid she said she will try and do a test today, there is a lot of it about again.

Morning...I'm being very lazy today, I have no plans, nothing to do apart from some self imposed things, but nothing strenuous. I think I may do a completely lazy day today and watch a film or something. The weather is grey and drizzly so no point in getting out into the air, a little bit of shopping was done yesterday so no need for that and I made a lasagna with the sausage sugo yesterday so that's ready for tonight too...I am up to speed with nearly everything...[you watch, i'll find something important I forgot to do in a minute]Gers, glad you had a nice time away, it does a soul good to get out of the house and then it's lovely to come home agan
Ruby, fingers crossed it's not, and those seats will be shiny new before long..Izy, freezers and extra freezers are like shelves, you think you haven't got stuff to go on them but pretty soon they're covered in bits and bobs...:) Take care all, enjoy whatever it is you are doing today...

Hi everyone,
We had a busy weekend. Laura was doing a first aid course on Saturday so we helped out with the children. Then, yesterday we had friends of Laura and Brian with their two children for a barbecue and to watch the football. That was lovely but I don't think Esben stopped running the whole weekend.
I think we're all tired today and Esther had a meltdown on leaving for nursery.
Our new fridge freezer arrives today, we weren't able to get a matching fridge so we're replacing both but keeping the old freezer, the extra space will be welcome.
Taff, I think you definitely deserve lazy day.
Ruby, fingers crossed it isn't COVID.
Have a good day.9 -
Hi all, late today, and missing over the weekend too- it's been a busy one. It feels much warmer today, we've had the heating on a couple of times.Sunny at the mo but rain due later. Sounds like a lovely weekend Gers.Shame about the Euros
The dgc were allowed to start at 10 today so a later start for DS2, and DS1 who went out with pals to watch. However DGS team won 1 cup at a tournament on Saturday, so winners medals and a team trophy for them, then later DGD end of season presentation when she too won a trophy- think DS is going to have to build a special shelf
We ended up with an Indian takeaway last night and plenty left for today. I have a shop coming tomorrow.Yesterday I had a msg from one of the neighbours, could I go and feed her cat as she was away and her cat sitter let her down. She has a lock box for her key luckily. I wasn't too sure on amounts but he seemed happy enough. He likes to be out at night but was waiting on the doorstep this morning. I need to msg her later to see if she'd sorted anyone else, she said she would but it's not a problem if not. I've not had a cat winding itself round my leg since I was a childHope all are well, take care:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Afternoon everyone I'm late today
I went down the hill and did some more work in DDs back garden, it's all done now - I've never seen so many snails! Then I was at work from lunchtime - it's our last week this week and my boss' s last week ever - she retires on Friday. I've worked with her for 19 years - we have a couple of surprises planned for later in the week.
It's been a lovely sunny warm day and I got a load of washing dried outside. I'm going to be good and iron it as soon as I've washed my tea dishes, as I seem to have a busy week this week. There's not much so it won't take long.
DD and little one are on their way home from Butlins. They've booked again for next summer as the price was good and for a weekend before Christmas. Little one will be back at school for some of tomorrow but she has a hospital appointment at some point, could be afternoon, just local though so that's good.
DD will be back at work on Wednesday so I'll be back on pick up duty for the rest of the week.
Hope everyone has had a good day today x
