Non-foodstore vouchers at Tesco

If someone has let's say Boots or Mothercare vouchers for money off a non-food product that Tesco regularly sells, will Tesco take those vouchers? Or is Tesco voucher policy limited to accepting foodstore chain and manufacturer vouchers only?

I've never had Tescos accept a rival chain's voucher for a specific product - only the total spend ones like Sainsbury's £5 off a £30 shop.

They seem to take the sainsburys magazine ones, i used £10.00 worth last night.

Tescos staff seem to make it as they go along.

Sometimes they take vouchers and other times they will not.

I let husband deal with this side of shopping as I ger very easily and go bright red. He just hands them over and keeps packing.

And at the moment we really need to save money where we can. So it is all hands to the deck to try and get as many vouchers as we can for little or no cost to us.

I don't think they accept vouchers from other shops (not supermarkets). I've never had any luck anyway, even when I tried using a Woolworths voucher for a free chocolate bar (hey, it's food!).

As for Sainsbury's magazine ones etc, their tills accept them but the cashier might not, depending on individual store policy.
